I have received word from the powers that be at Hearn that the past logs
are starting to take up a little bit of room (perhaps 20 megs). They
would like some solutions about how to fix that.

1) Remove everything prior to say Auguest 1993
2) Compress old logs. I'm not sure how this would happen, maybe
put into a uuencoded .zip (will save about 30 to 35 percent)
3) ?????

I'd appreciate some input about what I should do with them. The Lord of
HEARN would like to keep them online, but I'm not really sure HOW to
accomplish this effectively. Please offor opinions.

NOTE: ShadowTK opinions should be sent to PLOT-D, not to ShadowTK, and
I'll get really cranky at anyone that doesn't do that.

Thanks for your time.

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
