Brian, I have a question for you. Have you been getting any private e-mail
from me?

So, what are the long term plans for Abbadon? To say that his involvement in
the unpleasantness here has raised some hackles would be an understatement.
Is he up for elimination by a slow, concerted campaign with corporate
sponsorship? Moreover, would a bit of frantic rummaging through airport
footage and trying to sift through the securicam data give any clue as to
_who_ might be flying on that plane? I know it's a long shot, but long shots
are what success springs from. =)

That's true. Especially now he's deploying weapons of mass destruction,
he has become a _massive_ problem, and some of the possible solutions
equally unpleasant.

BTW, "secondary release authority" means that Coppinger can plan and
prepare an attack, but still needs NCA permission to get it executed. It
shortens the command loop, however.

question

OK. I figured this one was coming.

Yeah, you're right.

Abbadon is temporarily unavailable, but there is no doubt he's a hunted
man. He's also a crafty fox. So, we have corporate interest in finding
this person before he starts more profit affecting troubles, but I don't
see corporations getting heavily involved - too expensive and not
necessarily effective. However, there is very little reason to doubt
that a substantial reward would be offered for his head. Consider him a
part of the FBI wanted list, Dead or Alive, preferrably alive (yeah
right) He's now an international terrorist, he's crossed state borders
in fund raising, he's active in three countries in America and possibly
Europe as well.

He's run, you've all figured that out by now. In respect to that and
Mark's questions. Judicious digging through airport tapes will reveal
six people of a similar build and form as that in the Dallas film, going
to six different locations. The faces are different in each one.
Matching these faces with a variety of databases, including federal for
those that have access will reveal that the six men are dead. SIGA can
fill in the details of their deaths. :) Passenger manifests,
destinations, connecting flights etc will be available to determined and
skilled deckers, allowing that security in the last week or so has
climbed a fair bit, and will still be on alert - nobody in their right
mind is going to believe that CoT or Abbadon have just "stopped".

If you want the man, it's going to be a hunt for him. But, there may be
help. I don't expect it to be a long drawn out hunt, and Abbadon won't
be taunting his pursuers. He may post occassionaly just to say Hi to
his fans. <g>

If any of you have ideas on how you might begin hunting him, if anyone
wants to then send them to me, and I'll let you know what's likely and
what's not. As usual, I'll post copious amounts of information to any
who will have characters involved in anything like this.

However, don't forget something. Abbadon never works alone. There are
others - remember?

The primary concerns at the moment are the matrix attacks from Paul's
Chromers, Brian's bunch, possible involvement from Mark I if his
characters are up to it, and I believe Wildthing is doing his thing on
this.

There is also a clean up operation, There have been substantial
arrests, there has been substantial success. The more fanatical,
militant factions of CoT are either finished, or hiding in very deep
holes. There is, of course a more insidious side to CoT, the "logical"
section. Those who believe that the cause is just, if extreme in the
method. These are the most dangerous opponents, they fight logically,
they don't attack randomly and they are persuasive in their arguments.
It is these cells, these people who will rebuild the CoT movement unless
they are dealt with.

Because of present circumstances they'll be careful and more subtle than
before. This particular band of people are the ones that are going to
be of primary concern to the Federal forces and Lone Star. They have a
few prisoners, a lot of information (for those with the skill, try
hacking Federal and LS datastores to access the data or use any Police
contacts you may have.)

There is still much to be done by listmembers and law enforcement, most
of the law enforcement stuff won't make it to the list - it would be far
too samey to bother with, but a few bits will. List characters are far
more creative in their methods of dealing with people. :) Also there
are a couple of more personal quests starting up, so please by all means
have fun with this part of the plot. It can most definately lead to
substantial returns in equipment, drugs, chips and money. There is
likely to be another week of intense activity from Law Enforcement as
they await the next onslaught, by the end of this time it will be plain
that the campaign is over, and the cleansing of CoT will begin in
earnest. There are a wide variety of characters, and a wide variety of
ways to intermingle things here, so I will for the moment turn this over
to the list to do what they want with.

Now, there is another part of this, something that's been hinted at by
Paul and myself. CoT are not a small organisation. I would like a
list, either here or privately of the characters and teams that are
involved with bringing the organisation down.

I already have SIGA, Maxim Securities Matrix Division and Wildthing
hunting the matrix. Any other net-jocks will be an advantage. The more
pressure brought to bear, the more load put on the system the easier it
will be to break - though don't forget the Feds are on it too.

Also there are options for other characters here as well. Some of you
already know of an event that occured over the 26th/27th. It may well
be that certain characters will be if not interested in the event
itself, possibly in preventing it occurring again, or finding those
responsible.

There is physical stuff for the more combat oriented on the streets.

So this all boils down to some more work. Some of it will be lucrative
in returns of useable or saleable equipment and questionable items, some
of may well even be funded by organisations that have been hurt by this,
people like Hayashi etc, might well pay for a headcount. I won't name
the larger corps, but they will also have been affected by this.

Anyway. Hehe, let's get rid of this slime before I'm tempted to let
them loose again <snigger>

OK, any people who have characters that are likely to be hunting cells,
don't need my involvement. That particular side of things is relatively
easy to figure out, though the hunt may not be. I'll be posting a few
things on my web site to do with terrorist organisation and what have
you sometime during the week to give a few pointers and ideas.

Those who are breaking the matrix into little chunks of chopped CoT,
will get some data from me regarding the achievements and what is
uncovered from that.

Magical investigations and wierd things. If any of those who have sent
me details concerning their characters and received a post concerning
the event of the weekend, let me know if you want to dig into that a bit
deeper and of those characters are likely to follow up on it.

I think that covers just about everything so far.

If there's anything I've forgotten, let me know.

Hatred of this group to a large jump towards the end of the week, don't
let that die out, or they'll be back. Nothing more productive to a
bunch of bad-guys than acceptance, lethargy and fatalism. :)
