I would really like to post Jasmine's astral quest as it happens. However,
she really won't have access to a keyboard. The reason I want to post it as
it happens, is because there will be things happening physically as well as
astrally.
So, the questions are:

Would it be better to post to Plot-D as events occur?
Would it be a valuable thing to have it "logged" as it happens?
Does anyone have a recommended "astral" format?

I personally think it would be "very cool" to have it in the log. I also
think that posting as it happens will give it a little more clout as actually
having happened as opposed to just posting the results.

Things to consider:
No one will be able to affect the astral portion except me.
No one will be able to talk to me directly. (Unless you want to babble to
an entranced physical form in a snake house)

Another batch of questions probably specific to admin:
Am I breaking new ground here? Has there ever been a documented astral
quest on ShadowTalk? I personally think this is a real perk to the average
"Run starts, Johnson's met, object achieved, run ends" scenarios.

Any comments are appreciated. I'm as new to doing this as most of you
probably are. Thanx,
Brad

On top of all this,
I think that I will wait to begin the actual "quest" until I get some
responses from people about format. I think this is really an important
issue. So, the actual run will probably be delayed until tomorrow. This
should give people enough time to see the Plot-D discussion.
Thanx,
Brad

Take a look at the run I made on AI back in February to save Coyote.
That's a good way to do it (but pay attention to
the new rules on Dramatics)

IMHO, you have a problem. Realistically, it would be impossible to post
an astral quest in progress. First of all there is no way to transmit data
from an astral body to the net. Secondly astral quest are either instant or
take hours.

Because of this, I advise that you post it in reflection, not while in action.

Jason, this is EXACTLY why I posted the question. I feel the same way, but I
just wondered if there might be a way to do it. I think that the quest would
have more clout of actually having happened if it were posted in progress.
But, you are right, you can't transmit data.
I guess the best way to do this is to have a "running" commentary on
what's going on in the physical world. (i.e. Shields keeping everyone
informed.) Then, Jasmine can recount what happened during the quest later.

its a little impossible. Beside the "No Magic and MAtrix" you would be veiwing
a different plane - so even if you bent the "No magic and Matrix" rules, it
still wouldn't work (This is coming from someone who DOES bend the
No Magic and Matrix" rules"

Yes, as others have mentioned, it has been done. If any remember - the Rescue
of Highlander (first one) had a Astral part to it. But since this happened
last March - I really can't remember how I did it. I do know that it was not
live, I believe it was just type or though up and into the matrix.

PS. Should I bring back CRUSH's love for SUPER CHOCOLATTY COCO BOMBS
next semester? :) (for those who are new to the list - as in you have
only been on since the fall or late last semester - CRUSH has an enormous
appetite. Just to show how old this is. CRUSH wasn't married, Brian's
characters (Roxxy, AJ, Slash etc) didn't exist, and Rob wasn't even at Mankato
state university.)
