Are there any characters around who would notice a quiet upheaval in the
field of archaeology? Interesting artefacts being made available to
collectors, that sort of thing?

No problem if not, I just want to be sure that nobody later says "but my
PC is an avid collector of antiquities..." ;)

Of the characters that are currently in any sort of position to
comment on it, Scourge is the only one with any time on his hands.
Technically, others of my characters would be interested, but they are
sort of indisposed at the moment.

Diana might be somewhat interested based on her past involvement with
Scarface, but that isn't my call. That is Brian Angliss' call.
Scarface's interest in Archaeology was mostly contained to Europe and
Africa area. That was where he did a lot of his work before he
started actively running the shadows. (But that is totally irrelevant
to the question).

Diana's only interest is some part of western Africa and the Carribean.

AJ, on the other hand, is something of a rare goods collector, with an
emphasis on the history of weaponry, going all the way back to chipped
stone tools. He might find something in that area interesting, but that's
about it.

One of these fine days, I'll actually have time to get involved again, but
not for a while yet. Unfortunately, research takes a lot of time, and so
does prep for an optics conference in 3 weeks.

I have some characters who might notice. Alex has some friends in the
"antiquities" business, as does Thel. Neither of them collect themselves, but
depending on what was coming up...

Yes, there is. A certain Dr. Ben Anderson, and the organization he
works for would definitely be aware, and interested.

Ask Pete Sims, he'll let you know more.

Magical in nature [american indian, invae related, or blood magic] Kor
woudl be interested but not looking that much. He usually only goes after
gear that he's researched or has someone else sniff out. Tries to
buy it first, if that doesnt work, he considers a study permit, and if
that doesnt work...well, you get the idea.

Bunny owns a rare treasures acquisition house, but she's too busy
right now with the bugs to notice much else - or at least she SHOULD be.
The guy she employs to run the business would notice - but he's not
a 'runner. He would probably try to buy up anything he had generic
requests for, or that he thinks his employer might like.
