Hmmm... Small little problem here... *grin*
A bounty on Whistler for 750k, eh? Let's see if I got my math right. Assume
some bounty hunter goes after Whistler. Spends a nice 100k which is all he has
left from his last big job and scores well. Nets 650k maybe 550k after the
rest of the expenses.

Hmm. That is only 4+ years of the wages that Scourge is earning legally in a
year. What is wrong with this?

My small problem is not this figure on Whistler's worth but one of relative
worth. If Whistler only pissed off one person and earned this kind of bounty
which is a lot for one person, where does that leave people like Shadowfox and
Nightmare? They have pissed off at least one government each to the point
where it is worth their while to pursue them.

Idk, something is just wrong in the scale of things. of course this is IMHO.

I am however interested in hearing other people's responses though, because
supposedly 4 of the characters that I am running do have bounties on their
head.

*grin*

Flashbacks already? Nah!

Ok, let me clear a fwe things up on what happened in Year 2054...

Early January, a little-known but wise assed decker spots DOOM, aka the
Whistler, on a trid with a model by the name of Farenheit. In the small time
banter area of Shadownet, the decker, known as CREEPER, says, "What's such a
gorgeous babe doing with a little weenie like that?" A week later, Creeper
was dead, blown to bits in a explosion at his favorite neighborhood haunt in
some sort of explosion. Doom makes sure to tell the shadow community that
Creeper paid for messing with him.

In April, Whistler, then known by an alias since deceased, was framed for the
murder of his then fiance, a model by the name of farenheit. Whirling &
dealing, the pre-Whistler was given a leeway of six months to figure out who
killed his fiance. Such is the benefits for being a valuable wage mage in
the ranks of Fuchi.

Six months past (Summer played a big part) and the murder was never proven
false. The law came down hard... The modeling agency wanted revenge for
what they deemed to be a miscarriage of justice, as well as some other
sources contributing to the reward fund, mainly NOW and NOEW (National
Orginization of Elven Womyn). THe pre-Whistler was reported dead, horribly
mangled or burnt or something. Anyway, the DNA matched. End of story... or
was it?

One year later, the Whistler resurfaces, born again amongst the shadows. He
rejoins his old group, now consisting of the latest incarnation of Apache,
aka Mad Cat aka Daishi. Spellslinger has returned from mainly mundane
studies and Paladin's replacement, Reaver, is here. Spellslinger is the only
one who has kept a constant face in the shadows.

Now his past has returned to haunt him. Creeper's lover, CIRCE, has
returned, bent on revenge. She has her allies in the Shadowrealm and is as
experienced (if not more so) than the Whistler. She's been plotting his
demise for the past 2 years, and now comes the time to pay up.....

Hope that clears some things up....

Mike, TGC

NUR EIN MOMENT MAL, Herr Ruane!

Are you intending upon supplanting me and my charactar, mein Herr?

Should this be your intent, I take most grievous issue with it.

The character Doctor Doom may not be quite so active as I would have it
as of late -- his present status the necessary result of the termination
of a significant villain some time hence -- but a reprise is presently
within the works, so to speak. Furthermore, I and he were on ShadowTalk
since time immemorial, i.e., before ShadowTalk was ShadowTK.

Mein Herr and good Doktor DOOM:

There are many coincidences which twist through the tangled web of fate and
this is one. Erik, my esteemed colleauge, had been running Dr. Doom for a
few years before he was forced to change idenities. It was merely
conicidence and has nothing to do with you and your well established name.

Mike, TGC

(I should have put :This story and all the characters within are purely
fiction. Any resemblance or matching of names is purely coincidental. This
message was brought to you with the express written consent of Major League
Replacement Baseball).

*appearance of relief*

Na, Gott sei dank for small favours in this Time of Troubles!

I mean, consider my reaction: "Zum Donnerwetter! I have been supplanted!"

Besides, I should be quite loathe to THWAP thee 'gain ...

Well, perhaps not TOO loathe.

*evil laughter*
