Aside from the posting violation below, the last time someone posted
non-encrypted evidence of bugs, it resulted in the death of a
well-known and respected character, namely Powerhouse. IMHO, the bugs
wouldn't let this broadcast of information go unpunished.

That will give you a good rundown on each of the different bug types, from

If you've been following the IF plotline at all, you'ld know we've spent the
last couple months running from the bugs, as well as having multiple
character deaths...

They're already trying to getmy character (as well as every one of the other
IFers, and have been semi-successful... I'm not worried about playing nice
with them now...:)

I dunno, Bug City's sorta out on ShadowLand. There ain't much they
can do about it, now. Not like they can blow Grodin's Tavern
any more, ya know?

However, I do agree posting the whole damn thing was overkill. Maybe
just pointing him towards the stuff woulda been more tasteful.

Keep in mind, Jim, that Bull has been stuck in the CZ for the last couple of
years... He still isn't sure how much everyone knows, and wouldn't have any
idea where that particular document was on the Matrix...

Besides, the bugs still have Bull more than a little shell shocked, so he
prefers overkill whenever possible...:):):)

I think you missed something.
That post was all info Bull himself collected while in the CZ.
AFAIK It was not a document he took from Shadowland, it was one he
created himself.

Have you read the Bug City book? (This is out of curiosity, and where the
majority of my info comes from...)

The City Under Siege post was written in teh CZ by various people trapped
tehre, about six months after the bugs hit... (Around December to March of
2055-2056). Withing six months, the post had gotten outside the CZ thru one
manner or another (By August 2056, at the latest), and by January of '57 the
info was public, although heavily covered up by the government. The shadow
community knows the truth, but the general public doesn't know all the facts
yet, but they do know of the existance of the bugs.

This is coming from both the Bug City book, as well as bits and pieces from
the Super Tuesday and Dunk's Will books...

Bull, being a fairly talented decker in his own right, would definately have
had a copy of this document as soon as it hit the CZ matrix...

Except that he used the file name of the Bug City book which did make
it to SLand. He also said that this is what he used. If he knew it
made it to SLand (where it was originally sent, afterall) why does he
think that no one has it?

Yeah, I have, and if he saw the book, then he would know that it made
it out. Why does he think then that he is the only person outside
the zone with a copy? And why did he make the mistake of
broadcasting it for God and everybody? Apparently, Bull and co.
aren't that big on keeping secret.

And the bugs, which can blow up a node of SLand, can't seem to find
him. Funny. Of course, now that he's made a puplic broadcast, he's
as open to the Bug's tracing him as Dashira was to Bull tracing him.
Should be interesting to see how this is handled.

Not according to what Bull said. That file he sent wasn't his, that
was the one posted to SLand. If he got it, he knew it went to SLand,
which means he should've known about it out. But apparently, no one
seems to remember that the rest of the world knows about the Bug City
book, and that perhaps it's not a good idea to just throw it around.
Remember what happend in the SR world the last time a file got out
that the Bugs didn't want anyone to see?

I just got his explaination....

He got it off a node inside the CZ.
He didn't know it had made it out, (or if it had, how far....)

Ok, clarification time...

The Chicago CZ matrix is not connected to the outside matrix at all... The
file that Bull used was initially posted around the CZ for everyone tehre,
and somebody took it with them when they left the CZ and posted it to S-land...

Bull, by this time, knows that the info is out. But doesn't know where this
particular file is on S-land, and why should he bother telling someone (Who
obviosuly doesn't know a whole lot about the bugs in geneeral) to go find it
himself, when Bull could just attach the document himself. Besides, the Vid
footage went with it, and that was strictly Bull's...

Why is this suddenl;y that big a deal, anyways... We've been playing tag
with teh bugs for a couple months now, and you're just noticing?

Nope. The CZ is isolated completely, both physically and Astrally, as well
as thru the matrix. The file was smuggled out by someone who managed to get
out of the CZ, as far as I can tell. It doesn't really say, but it seems
pretty silly to cut off all matrix activity, but somehow leave S-land open...

I'll re-read the book tonight, and apologize if I am wrong, but I do not
believe I am.

I just posted something to that effect.

Scourge is pissed (a friend just died for what Bull did). What sort of
defenses are you using to prevent people from tracing Bull? At this point,
Scourge has other things to concern him, but at some point, he is going to
return the favor of having lost a friend.

Hmmm, nice... More people mad at Bull...

Right now, Bull is using a combination Sat Uplink and a Re-Router that sends
his signal bouncing around the globe a few times... Something taht cost me
(as a player) a good bit of cash, let me tell you...:):):) Besides which,
he's currently somewhat lost in Tir Tairngir (Sp??) trying to make his way
to Seattle...

And you won't be the only one trying to trace the big, dumb ork...:):):)
