Time for a quick reality check. How many of you out there come from campaigns
where Delta-grade _anything_ is even possibly available through the black
market to runners on the street? That level of tech is both expensive and
_rare_. Comments?

Through the black market? No. Through the right corp? Yes. But there are
only 6 delta clinics _in_the_world. Thats according to cybertech. IMO,
what Tank thinks is going to be delta is going to just be beta. And
encephelon 4, for 125k? At delta level? HA! Theres another thing that
just doesn't happen. Delta-ware with me is fine. Delta-ware the way it's
being done is not. It's just not that easy to do.

Oh and for anyone who's curious and wants some ideas, here what I think the
six locations are:
Cairo (controlled by ?)
Berlin (controlled by ?)
Washington D.C. (controlled by UCAS)
Chiba (controlled by Renraku)
Detroit (controlled by Ares)
Whatever the capital of Aztlan is (if I have to say it, you don't deserve to
hear it)

Well, because of the way shadowtk works, it really hard to get certain things
to work well. You have a group of about 50 game MASTERS, all of which are
controlling their own little section of the world and trying to get them all
the mesh. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesnt.

I personally dont have delta ware in my campaigns. Why? I dont know, really,
just that the Delta stuff wasnt availble until like a year ago, and, well,
I'm sometimes slow and hard to move forward. It also didnt seem like it
was really worth it. There are so few places to get it, the cost was so high,
and, well, it would take years of doing nothing be looking for the stuff just
to finally find the right contacts outside of corporate hell to even get pointed
in the right direction. And even then your career is over. I dont invest
that much money into something / someone I am going to just let walk away
from me. You can bet on that.

I try not to get too uppity about other people's plot lines unless they a)
affect me b) go so far outside of what I consider normal that it starts to
fall into the "a" category.

Chiba is Fuchi. The second Fuchi clinic is supposedly in Ute lands, if I
remember correctly. Detroit is right. UCAS though? I don't remember
that one.

But as Brian R. already said, we're a group of 50 GMs trying to create
stuff together.

FYI, in my current campaign(ahhhh, it's so good to actually be GMing
again...) there are only 6 or so(actually a few more) that do Cybermancy,
but a good number of clinics that can implant Delta. Of course, you need
to be a corp or government to make the stuff first, so all the Deltas are
controled by corps/nations.

On the list I stick to the FASA line on this one.

I'm with Brian on this one. Remember, this is a loosened, rule-less,
version of a fictional and not very logical _game_. Expecting even the
beginnings of a rational framework is like... like... like doing something
pretty damn silly!

And I should probably stress my agreement with Mark's comment about "if you
don't wnt the character dead, he/she isn't." My comments on the Doom fiasco
could have been interpreted to mean "you should be dead", but they were
really only feeble attempts at humour. The Doom hit should really have been
discussed in plotd beforehand, in my humble opinion.

Of course. Tank wouldn't have been able to get any better than beta. He just
would have thought so. He actually has some delta, but that's a lonmg story,
and he thinks he has more than he does.
