You're on. You, grasshopper, are now the official ShadowTk cast list
maintainer. What do you need to get started? Let's communicate through
the list so that we can keep everyone involved.

Cool - ok - can I have a copy of the db, just for an initial recon, then
I'll 'ave a think, and a little chat with the list about what we want
to do next, in terms of trimming dead wood. ISTR we had some
fairly good ideas about two dbs - one with definite current chars,
and one with 'not known here's - stops us from actually having
to delete anything...

Could someone tell me where I might be ab;e to find the cast listing. I need to do some
updating on my characters that are on there. Partially it will be some new info and also
new E-mail address for myself.

I tried signing up for the CAST-TK list (I think that's what it's
called, just going from spotty memory here) and it didn't work. I
got the idea it's defunct. If this isn't the case, I'd love to find
out where a cast listing is, or failing that, maybe be part of
organizing a new one?

For what it's worth, I have no idea whether Mark has any plans on
implementing a new Stk Cast Listing. The last one was so filled with
munchkinous nightmares and non-used/existent characters that it was pretty
much a waste of web space.

I do run an author and cast list on my website along with the Newbies
Guide. It's not officialy recognised nor is it sponsored by this list. But
if you or anyone else has characters they want added, or a little author
information so people know who you all are, I'm happy to host it.

http://www.shalako.demon.co.uk/stk/players.htm
for the authors listing

http://www.shalako.demon.co.uk/stk/chars.htm
for the characters. Those I have sufficient information on have a
character image attached (either provided by the owner or scribbled by
me).

Just my two ha'penth worth. :)

Actually, one side note to this. Where characters shift around a great
deal and get involved in convoluted plots I don't update the characters.
That really is up to the owners.
(Look meaningfully at Paul Adam) <g>

So, if there are any major changes and you've got one of your characters
stored with me. Don't forget about them or they'll start feeling all
lonely like. :)

Ok, here's the deal. Once about every six months or so, I promise that
I'm going to work on the cast listing "this weekend." I never, ever have
the time to follow through with it, and despite the ideas that I have for
it, I just don't have the time to give it the attention that would be
required to get it in a useful state. With that in mind, I'll throw down
the gauntlet:

Anyone who is willing to take over the maintenance of the cast listing,
please speak up. I can provide you all of the current information in
almost any format that you could want. Your mission, should you choose
to accept it, is to prune the bogus entries and generally bring the list
to a usable state.

Any takers? I know I had a volunteer before, but I can't remember who it
was, and I never got them the information that I promised. At this point,
I've finally admitted to myself that I'm not likely to "get to it" in a
reasonable amount of time, so it's in the best interests of everyone for
someone else to take over.

HELP! I would very much like to submit my "cast", but
I would also like pics to go with them. The only
problem is I CAN'T DRAW. Can anyone help me? I would
be more then happy to provide profiles and detailed
descriptions (In some cases, even a >>little green<<

I volunteered once before, but as I recall, you'd already made arrangements with
someone else at the time to handle it.

But, hey if Avenger's not up to it, I'm still available.

While I'd love to offer Mark, I don't actually have the time to maintain
the list on my own, I've got some fairly serious commitments with helping
a local company relocate. However, I'll keep my little section going for
those who want a larger profile, and if James wants a hand I'd be willing
to give it.

And while I think of it, we have some new authors in here, and some old
authors who are still choosing to remain anonymous. :) OK people, like if
you want people to have a bit to hand as to who and what you are send it
through to me and I'll stick it in the authors section.
