There's been several of us chatting about the Maxim stuff both here and
on Talk, but there's a LOT of you who've not put your two cents worth
into the pot.

So far, it looks like we'll possibly be getting in about 13 or so runners
in an IFV, with a couple more coming in from the sky, if deckers can hack
the security system and, more importantly, the radars.

I'm sure that the deckers can get some more people in, perhaps as
construction crews, if that get's set up here before too long.

That would be enough to get everyone in, but getting out is a problem.
Currently on the table are the following: simulated gas attack to sow
confusion, stealing vehicles, and spirit aid(levitation, guard/accident,
etc). What other ideas are there?

I'll assume that, unless there are complaints, that the getting in idea
is what'll happen in reality to get the runners in. Getting out is still
up in the air, and so is the plan once you're in there.

So, a HALO jump could drop the attackers right onto the bunker they're
interested in, avoiding the armory perimeter all together. The IFV gets
people in, but also has potential problems in the form of medical
personnel just inside the gate. And the construction type people(yes,
Maxim does do it's own construction, but they still bring the workers in
from PP every shift) won't have any armor or weaponry.

So, what about what happens inside once everyone's in?

None of my characters are involved in the Maxim plot, but I do have a
comment.

As I understand it, HALO jumps are extremely non-accurate. You would be
lucky to hit the compound, let alone a single building or zone.

I could be wrong, and it is a good enough idea to say the hell with physics,
but I'm personally not sure about it.

*grin* On the whole, I don't really approve of 'runners doing things out
of personal kindness, and would like to see some level of corp backing for
the whole affair (or just play up AJ's hate for Velli in such a way...).
Then again, I shouldn't talk since, due to my laziness/schedule three SI
warships have been bouncing around the pacific for the past 2 months
waiting for me to get off my duff... *sorry*

*grin* Whatabout the decker stereotype? =)

HALO jumps are as accurate as any other jump, it all depends on the skill of
the jumper. A jumper can use their body to direct their descent, they just
have less time to use the actual chute to manuever themselves into position
once it's opened since they do it from such a low altitude.

Depends upon which characters are mixed into which teams. Shade
would be useful in communicating data and directing spirits. He also can
help against any spirits that get in our way. He also wants to implement
the idea of coating everyone with the right phermones to get the animals to
accept the runners as non-hostile. Using his conjuring skills, he might be
able to turn the less trained animals against their masters.
Shade will help out however he can, but he is a scientist and a
runner. He is not the most combat effective of individuals, but he is
helpful. The question is where does AJ want to place him?
