True. However, IMHO, ambidexterity completely unbalances the game, making
the newbie character who has it capable of pounding the ever-livin' crap out
of a character who doesn't have it but has been around for eons. I'm
thinking, Geoff, that it was my game that you heard about with the
lack-luster appearance of the neg essence sammy. Thus the reason why
henceforth in my games, the optional ambidexterity rule is not available.
Or, maybe next time I'll just give ambidexterity to the neg essence goon and
see what happens <grin> (as a side note, you will notice that in my previous
post I said a neg essence sammy "should" be able to fight a party to a
standstill, not "would").

As far as disallowing the playing of neg essence characters in ShadowTalk,
I'm not so sure that is such a good idea. I mean, if someone wants to play
a "corporate whore," as it was so appropriately described in an earlier
post, let 'em. Played correctly, a neg essence character could in fact be
quite interesting, considering the huge number of drawbacks built into the
character already. Besides, if somebody runs one and they get out of hand,
just ignore posts from that character and don't respond to them. Eventually
they'll get the idea.
