*shrug*

I thought about that. But A) I used the standard dice rollin' fer makin' up
a system and that's what I got, and B) I figured since this was a piddly
little satellite office for an accounting firm they'd put the cash in to
make it nice and secure (orange....blue just didn't seem good enough) but
wouldn't hold enough sensitive data to warrant much IC save fer the cheap
barrier kind.

But hey......i'm still learnin'. Thanx fer the input......

You're welcome. Now in response:

a) That's some freaky rolling. :)

b) If it's really such a piddly system, what the hell
is it doing holding project data that rates a "shoot
first, frag the questions" response? Hmmm? Or did I
miss something?

Btw, Cutter, insert lots of smilies all over the place
here. On re-reading it, I noted the tone was rather
harsh, which was not my intention. I'm trying to help
you here, not bag you. :)

lol

not a problem my friend. I take all correspondance over this cold and harsh
screen with a grain of salt. Smiley faces alla round.

And to answer yer question, there wasn't anything in the system As broke
into that warranted the 'shoot first' response. It was the file in the
_other_ system the decker had hacked into and stolen that warranted the
trace IC and the goon squad. Hence, our hero has gotten in a bit over his
head so to speak.

')

As fer the system rollin'......the random security code table gives you
orange on 3-5 (vs 1-2 green, 6 red), and you put IC on an orange node on a
roll of 1-2. Of the 13 rolls I did for the random system, I only had 3 such
IC rolls..........yeah, pretty freaky. And the other two nodes with IC he
never hit.

*shrug*

I'll rely more on common sense than dice rolls when I make the next
system.....

Ah - see, that's what I missed. I didn't notice he'd
gone through to the other system - I wouldn't worry,
though. I was reading fast. :)
