I told him. No need for anyone else to. Etc. etc. etc...

But where are these people coming from, and how are they subscribing
without getting the FAQ? I thought it was automatically sent to new
subscribers.

*sniff* based on the fact that he chose one of my posts ask to
remove himself on, I would say I horrified another person away from
the list based on my writing skills (and tendency to post in
batches).

*CACKLE*

To bad I cannot do that to myself. The world would be much better
off.

No idea about the point you raised Jaimie, although you raised an
excellent one.

Actually, it isn't. I've been waiting for the ShadowTK/PLOT-D FAQs to
show up in my mailbox since mid-July, and I've even changed accounts!
Mark, could you possibly shed some light on this?

In a perfect world, they would get the FAQ as soon as they subscribed ..
and I even had it working once upon a time. That was about the same
time, coincidentally enough, that my hard drive decided to crash and
take all of my little programs like that with it.

Yes. The program that sends the FAQ is gone .. the only
way it gets done these days is manually. I don't even have
the server set to send me mail for new subscribers right
now, because if I turn that on, I also get told about all
of the invalid addresses that are boucing mail -- since I
haven't had time to weed out the subscriber list lately,
that would be bad.
