Simple way for him to want to crack a file before
the other. Make it bigger. Make it look like it
is more important. Give it a priority send code.
Heh heh heh. Yes, the virus would be activated once
decrypted. Hmmm. Scrabble ICe. Even better than
Scramble ICe. Or how about Anagram ICe? heh heh.

Well, it seems that my hope of getting Dante universally hated by everyone has
worked out. And just to inform you all, I want him to survive Talky getting
fixed, and then I plan on terminating him. Or letting him be terminated. Who
all wants to be in on it? And it won't be in New York. I haven't decided
where yet, but the chase must go on!

While I would love to kill Dante, I think he should get away. He's just too
good a villian. He should keep a low profile for a while, though-maybe
fake his death. No one pisses off so many shadowrunners and lives

Hmmm... I'll leave that up to you all. I have the whole tracking route
planned out, and I hope to have Dante annoy people along the way(mostly my
characters), and I have a way for everyone to kill him(and maybe even be killed
by him, or come really close to death anyway), but that aspect is easily
ignored.

I'm having too much fun with Dante to want to kill him, but I'm realistic
enough that he can't get away with not being punished somehow, even if that
just means disappearing for a protracted time.

Seriously, I will leave it up to all the people now involved in Dante(which
is more people than I thought) to decide his fate. I will abide by the general
consensus. And yes, I am giving you control over Dante's life or death, but
not how he lives or dies. Sorry, but I have some really nasty ideas on that
one that I just have to keep on going with(really evil grin).

And if anyone has dirt that you want Dante to have dug up on you revealed to
the net, feel free to mail it to me. I'll get it out.

Hold on a moment Dante just dumped Solitaire ? I thought Solitaire was
supposed to be the drek hot decker that got into the corp court. How powerful
is Dante then ? I thought he was nothing but a piss artist ?

Well, he is, but he caught her by surprise. And he has a much better deck
than most deckers use, and RADICALLY better than Solitaire has. She has the
raw skill that he doesn't, but they are about even when you compare skill and
deck vs. skill and deck. Except that the thing that makes Solitaire so
formidable, and the only reason she'd run the Corp Court system in the first
place, is that she's nuts. Totally no fear of death whatsoever. Sure, she'll
try to keep herself alive, but so she can spend her money, or save her friends,
or whatever. She's been dead before. Besides, he wouldn't have even tried to
nail her if she had known he was there. He would have run. Fast and far.

But he is better than a piss artist. Not much, maybe, but good enough to cause
problems with Talky, and modify code quickly, and hack encryptions(after about
a month and a half's computing time). If he survives this, which I'm still
not sure he should(but I'm tempted....REALLY tempted...), he will be better.
I think that the main reason that everybody hates him, besides that he's
insulting, is that he has no honor or morality, and most runners have at least
some honor, even if it is a little convoluted. He cares only for himself and
the money he makes, and for making everybody's lives miserable if he can. The
only rep that he has on the street is a bad one. But the corps probably love
him, as he'll screw over anything and anyone for a nuyen. How many of you
would do a run for MCT or Aztech? Not many, probably. Dante loves them, and
does runs for them all the time. He would have no problems running with a team
under a different icon and name, and then betraying the team into the other
corp's hands. Runners don't do that, but Dante would. He's the perfect corp
hatchetman with a deck.

In addition to Cyberpunk, Etherial would like to get in
on the action. He was more than pissed that the money
was taken from Mute Securities. (And as the Virtfun run
died, no one really knows who he is).

Just to make things complex, Hammer is going to make this offer to
Action Jackson, Foxey Roxey, Solitare, Scourge, and IBA: He and BIS will
help hunt Dante IN EXCHANGE for Nightmare.

Just thought I would warn you.

Actually, Brian, as you problably noted, Harlequin is out of the
picture. So he won't be going after Dante. But Cyberpunk and
David Etherial both still have a grude to hold against that devil.

The post I was referring to is the one where Raven is "rescued" from
Mitsuhama. What happens there is not really important (except to me);
it's just to set Raven up for whatever Brian does in his write-up
of Dante's death. I also have a brief post from Raven which will go
out right after-again, it's not important, as long as it gets out before
Dante's death, since it's a message for him from her.

Here's the sequence, as it currently stands:
> Dante gets whacked in cyberspace (from Nightstalker)
> Raven extracted from Mitsuhama (from me)
> Dante's death (from Brian)
> Interpol shows up (from me)

I cut the rest, and you'll notice I reversed the first two. No one's
asked me to put them in the Interpol shootout, so it'll just be Drake
and Raven.
