Is it just me or has the usage of divine names multiplied around here
in the last two weeks?

:)

Just a question ... I think it's an interesting phenomena.

btw ... whatever happened to Farmer, Ploughshare, and the farmerfolks?

Peace

Well, we're using several Norse god names for some teams that we're
organizing... Loki, Heimdal, Zues, Thor, and Odin...

Zeus a Norse god? It rathers looks like we are more multi-cultural than just
relying on Norse mythology.<grin>

Older folks can add to this list but ... over the last two weeks, I've seen

Loki (Norse)
Zeus (Greek)
Thor (Norse)
Heimdall (Norse)
Odin (Norse)
Hephaestus (Greek)
Marduk (Babylonian)
Chang Ti (Chinese)
Ogun (Africa/South America)
Apollo (Greek)

of course, the last four were introduced by me ... explaining why I notice
this type of thing ... :)

Have there been any other deities wandering around shadowtk (under their
best known names?) :)

Peace
Dave

Even though Zeus is actually Greek, not Norse...
But who's counting....

Ok Martin, do I get to hurt you now??? <grin>

We were originally going with four letter Mythology gods, but needed a fifth
name, so added Heimdall. I said Norse because four out of five ARE Norse...
We just...

Ahhhhhhhh! Forget it... :):):)

We shall find out shortly... they have been laying their plans, which
will be coming to fruition pretty soon (meaning I've been writing hard
for a while...)

Sorry I didn't get this earlier, but UT Austin's access to the outside
world is real flaky...(SPRINT sux, long live AT&T!).

As for Hephaestus, he's named that for a reason, not because I pulled it
out of the hat, plus, his characters a few months old since I created him.
He just hasn't had a chance to speak up yet. So there. :P

He's going to hopefully remain a background character (mystery person) for
the indeterminate future.

Gods' names are cool ... and definitely not to be taken lightly !! :)
Karmic retribution is a <fiveletterwordofchoice> ...

Speaking of which, the Horde has not been seen for the last time ...
maybe they'll help accelerate Skull Bearer's cancer or something ... or
mop up the remains of Serenity Security ... or swoop like scavengers
on the Invasion Force ... or take on Jen and Gabe in a game of
the 'dozens' or ... :)

Peace

Im so sure you said 'dozens'. Where the hell wer eyou born and raised?

As to Serenity, I wouldnt try it right now. A bunch of shadowrunners wiht
cabin fever tasting their first real good fire fight in a long time is not
the place to have a party. It could get ugly.

Most of serenity is still standing. Most of it.

You make the Horde sound like the nightmarish evil brother of NERPS. Do
they also give you bad breath? Make you unpopular with the ladies? Set
fire to your cat?

Who knows what evil lurks in...oh woops. That line's taken.
