Nightstalker says, regarding encryption:
> Nobody follows instructions because nobody enforces the rules :)

Is there really any way to, though? It seems to me that you couldn't
prove if anyone is reading the "encrypted" posts until they actually
use something that was no where else. Also, some of the "superhot
deckers" around could probbly break the encryption. how do you gauge
that aspect? From what I see, don't want someone "unauthorized"
reading it, work out a code system or send it e-mail, not list-mail.

Nightstalker says, regarding Character commentary:
>> Things people should avoid on Shadowtk:
>>
>> Spikebabies (one out of three shadowtk elves are spikebabys)
>> Fourth World characters or relatives (one out of four shadowtk elves
is/has)
>> Vampires (we had a rash of them, but now there is only one or two)
>> Superhot deckers (who do thinks like carry black utilities)
>> Ultrapower characters (they are not that fun to be around)

God, I should have said nothing at all apparently. Jerricho/Stormy was
exotic LONG before this list was even running. He is and has always been
my only Shadowrun character. I happened to be in an exotic mood FOUR YEARS
AGO! Alright with you, O Lord and Master?

Where in hell did you get this? I've always taken a spikebaby to be a
metahuman born before the awakening and, for the most part, elves do NOT
change in mid-life, is the ways I've always looked at it. I was born in a
historically magic/mana rich location, I decided that before I'd seen any
of the books except the !st edition rules. And I could easily still be
alive even as a human, especially given more advanced medical technology.
And where do you get your little claim that "all of FASA's spikebabies lived
until the Awakening on their own merits." Jerricho was born an elf and has
been an elf his entire life.

I agree with you about the posts, I read it in the log as I only caught
the tail end of it. If you so hate those type of characters, why do you make
similar ones? Ignore this if I have gotten the wrong person and you have NONE
AT ALL like this...

Not particularly apologetic about it, but I dislike your choice in your
attitude. Anything not in the rules is wrong? I'm sorry, but I don't mind
bending rules, circumstance-dependant, of course. If no one ever broke the
rules, it wouldn't be as much fun IMHO YMMV...

Og course they do. For the truly evil and vile, they might have 2 versions
of records for some people, one being biased in favor of the individual, the
other against. Thus, they could do a favor or a slime job on such people.
Perhaps Solitaire only erased the beneficial version...

Being defensive once more, [I love Jerricho and I hate people insulting
him] he was NOT, originally, a Shadowtalk character. He hasn't done anything
worthwhiee for 6 months game-time and 5 months real-time. I've only been
on a week or two... Thus, I do have stats, QUITE useful for FTF gaming
sessions, but I have a lot more. Probably a meg or two if I ever botherd to
put it on my computer like I did the major stats.

Gods, just because I have a similar idea I am now jumping on Dan's wee
lil' bandwagon, am I? Get real. OK, Dan, how long ago did you come up with
the idea for Fourth World parents? OK, everyone else, if you even mentioned
a 4th World elf after then, send money to Dan to register it... Is it just
I, or is this just a bit ludicrous? Heck, when I first made Jerricho, I
didn't have Internet access to be here, even if it was up then.

I shan't comment on this but I was wondering if someone might e-mail me
with the dates of this so I can get the logs and read them. Sounds like
something I might like to read.

Then what is your problem, power-wise, with mu father? Heck, he's not
even a mentor, so don't go blaming me for succumbing to a GM's lures and
allowing him to make an old elf mage father into a minor 4th World survivor.

Just a question... who is Dark Elf?

And who are the Big Three and the Shadow World?

time :-)

Check out the logs from January to about May to see Dark Elf in true form.

Alas, Vinnie is no longer with us, disappearing into the shadows with his
graduation.
