I've got a plot idea that I would like to begin in the next few weeks and
want to get your input. I'll try to do this without giving everything away.

The first item is this:
I want to use Denver's Dreamland Syndicate as one of the focal points of the
plot. Since it is not overly fleshed out in the sourcebook, I would use my
interpretation of it. This should not be a problem, however, towards the end
of the plot Dean Rucco (the DS frontman according to FASA) would have to be
eliminated. I can see this as being a problem for future plotlines.

If it would be more appropriate, I'll change the name of the Dreamland
Syndicate and move it to a different city.

The second item:
What types of "Drug stories," if any have been done to death on the list. I
don't want to bore you!

The third item:
When I get this moving, who would be interested in participating

Plot Synopsis -- very early stages

The Dreamland Syndicate is selling a "new and improved" BTL. They range from
straight emotion triggers to so called black beetles. The one thing they all
have in common is a bit of added baggage *insert evil laugh here* The
runners will investigate and come accross Dean Rucco and his Blonde Bombshell
of a girlfriend (and very magically inclined). The Mob is not happy with the
relationship.

Finally, who is the faceless stranger in the black leather trenchcoat and
fedora with the glowing green eyes?

I'll be using a mage and a corporate troubleshooter, so there is plenty of
room for other characters to come on board. Plus, I would appreciate any
help on the development end!

Sorry for my rambling (blah, blah, blah)

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier, but Thanksgiving et al. kept me away
from the keyboard:

While moving it may be unnecessary, I agree with changing the name of the
locale. I assume this place is some sort of "underground" BTL palace or
somesuch? In the Shadowrun times, I highly doubt only one such place
would exist. (On the other hand I would definitely agree that they
wouldn't be as common as a crack den.)

Hmmmm. Before my joining the list, I heard there was a story about
Torture BTL's being made and that it was squashed, but other's would be
more knowledgeble and it should be in the logs. For my part, I only
remember the story I was envolved in where a perveyor of "exotic
entertainments" (read BTL, drugs, people) was the target of Quicksilver's
"affection" (read she was ordered to assasinate him). I would suggest
avoiding any plot you have seen in a movie. The only way to bore me is
through poor storytelling and overly simplistic plots.

A) a plot device, B) an escapee from a bad movie, C) someone with poor
fashion sense (egad, glowing green eyes with a black leather
trenchcoat). Only kidding. ;P

I'm not sure if any of my characters would be available or interested, but
I might be willing to help on ideas. I of course would need to know more:
how are the chips "improved", what is the "added baggage", why isn't
the
mob happy and with which relationship? Contact privately with details if
interested.

Well, if you check out the May/April logs of this year, there was
Paul Adam's "Manchu" plot line which dealt with(among other things)
Aztechnology and BTL's with extra stuff on them. Then, of course,
there was a novel (2XS) about weird chips, too.

has global implications however, that's just fine."
