I abjectly apologize for starting this deluge of posts on 4th world
elves and such, especially when I PERSONALLY AM NOT FROM THE FOURTH
WORLD! My father is, yes, but methinks Nuada (the name he's used for
about 30 years now, I don't know his real name, we're NOT close) will
not be seen or heard of, except by hearsay. He hates cyber, though
he wanted me to get it to be of use to him, since I don't have any
other edge. Don't you hate manipulative parents? And he hates the
Matrix a lot, he's too much magically centered to deign to use this
medium of consensual hallucination.
I also abjectly apologize for DARING to speak of old spike babies. I
did place his birth in an area notorious for ley lines and nodes
even before I had heard of any of the book except SRun 1st Ed. I
myself needed a reason for an elf being born so long before the rest
of the world Awakened. I did [how thoughtlessly munchkinish] because
I wanted to dictate what circumstances he had been through. So I made
him grow up in the same times I did. I'm SOOO sorry if this puts some
people's panties in a twist, but I know more about Stormy than I bet
almost everyone else does. He's one character I can slp into almost
immediately. He's like an old comfortable leather jacket that you
slip on without having to think about it.
I also apologize for this deluge of "Powerful characters, etc." posts.
Jerricho is not THAT powerful... Sure, he can play a sax like noone's
business [It's higher than any other skill by at least 2] and if you
asked him, he knows a LOT about various aspects of the 20th century,
it's always fascinated him, being his "home" century. Oh yeah, want
some bodypaint? You know, facial war paint, full-body designs, any
of that stuff, ask me, I can do it fairly well, as well as I can jack
the Matrix [Almost, I have a bit of cyber to help my Matrixhopping.]
or hurt people. I probably should have either said more about him or
nothing at all, eh? He is NOT that powerful, even given the admittedly
extreme amount of Karma spent. He is a dilettante, his only reason for
shadowrunning, a bit of adrenalin addiction and a yearning for thrill
and his near absolute loyalty to friends and companions, almost as bad
as a Wolf or Dog shaman in that way. Sure, he ha a few contacts, even
though I didn't start with any and the savoir faire and knowledge of
etiquette to get more and pleanty of disposable income but that's what
he does with it: dispose of it. If any of his apartments were robbed
or destroyed, talk about major trauma. A great loss of art works and
instruments and irreplaceable books such a that would make him VERY
angry. He skimps sometimes on necessary running equipment to get these
things, because even with long life, what is it worth without beautiful
surroundings?
I apolgize, this time sincerely, for the length of this post and maybe
you all actually read all of it. Please forgive me for not making him
clear the first time I spoke of him.
