How is Evita supposed to have heard of V-12? His crew is by no means the most
broadly known of rigger teams in existence (much less the extent of the
group's resources). He also normally works through fixers. What do you have
in mind?

Evita heard of V-12 from Ash. Don't know if V-12 worked with Ash previously,
but even if he didn't, some of his previous work has been spectacular enough
to start some serious street talk about him. Thinking about the Redmond
Barrens episode in particular.

V-12,
If you agree to the meet, one of us(either Evita, Rosha, or Ronin)
will give you the basic details of the upcoming trip:

So, the plan:

We fly to NY. We steal a van from a janitorial service of some sort. We
drive towards the target. Rosha puts illusory disguises on us all,
including the vehicle, making us all look like TT guards. We enter about an
hour after shift change. Leaving the rigger in the van, we enter the
building, make our way to the kids, set up the release mechanism, take the
Ork, and leave. Any resistance is taken down quick and quiet with Ronin's
ELD-AR and Rosha's magic. Rosha plants the charges, which are only
triggered if there is pursuit. The rest of the kids are released, and we
drive away. We pull into a convenient parking garage or something and drop
the disguises. Someone gets out and walks away, gets a taxi to the
rendezvous point (which is to be arranged). The other two drive on in
mundane janitor disguise, and the ork is stashed in a locker in the van
where they keep all the nasty solvents and so on. We meet at the rendezvous
point the next day.

Out in the middle of nowhere

What would you say happens to an allied spirit after the summoner's
death?

This is described in the Grimoire (which I don't have in front of me right now)
but in short the spirit gets a chance to go Free.

According to Brian Rogers:
>I had a friend that was born without an aura (there's been serveral papers
>written about that particular thing) and it was found that elementals were
>unable to target him for either an attack or able to defend against him. I
>am willing to bet that our perp might have the same effect on my elementals.

Realizing this was private commerce between characters I didn't reply to this
in public, but, without trying to sound too much like a busybody, I must say
that I can't believe in that phenomenon for the purposes of Shadowrun.
Debates about the nature of Auras aside, it is pretty much guaranteed by the
canon that every living being has an Aura, and even if they didn't, there
is certainly no reason why an Elemental should not be able to affect them.
After all, Elementals can effect _inanimate_ matter...

Damn, I cant even have a private conversation without getting mugged!

Its hard for me to relate "past" experiences with Jason that fit in totally
with current ShadowTK party line. I tend to keep stuff like that to myself
or with other characters that share a history (or where it wont get out
into the open).

This is how my DM ran it at the time. It made sense to me because of
the write up of a NegaAdept. Which, from all the testing I was
able to do on him, he didnt have an aura so this is how I think of it.

Ack; I wasn't trying to be an ogre...I apologize if my tone was too abrupt.

Hmmmm.....the Negamages are still a point of some skepticism for me, but I
might suggest that one way to formulate their abilities would be to say that
rather than having a "null" mana field, they generate an "anti"-mana
field.
Considering the size of the gaiasphere around Earth, I would find it sort of
unbalanced to say that a single (otherwise normal) being could create a
pocket of "vacuum" just like that. But that's just me...

Another way to look at it is this....
These people grew up with a deeply seated air of sceptisism.
So much so, that the Magic in them (which they didn't know about) focussed
itself inwardly in such a way as to act like a purely defencive Magic Pool.

Unlike sorcerous magic pools, this has an effect against all magical
phenominom, including Elementals and Spirits, hence their unwillingness to
approach them....

It's a bit like the Negapsychic from Palladiums Beyond the Supernatural...

(I imagine Agent Scully would be one of these....)
