Ok I'v egot a possible idea for bringing in funny animals. Cyberware.
Not using enhanced animals, but a group of humans that have all had cyber
modification to look like animals (skin grafts, hair stuff, cyber claws and
maybe also bioware for improved senses.) The sections on cyberware sort of
hints that this stuff is possible. (I've seen stuff like this on alt.cyber
punk.chatsubo...at least two stories that I've read had characters that had
modifications to look like animals.)
