All right... because this MONICA thing is going to really break soon... I want
to get this Genetek thread wrapped up... hopefully before my long weekend...
I'm going to Vermont for a few days, and will be away from any terminal access
(boo hoo).

So basically, it'll get started once we get Susan, the girl that WHAT and
Scythe have been shuttling between Denver and Seattle... and Jack (Widow's
brother) will resurface tomorrow (Saturday)...

Now, Semetex is out of the country, so we're probably gonna need some
additional help going in... anybody willing to become a part of this thread?
I've already got Eric (Laurissa & Semetex). I just want to know who else will
help... I'll let you know where its going later... but I'm just warning you,
that once it starts, it's gonna move fast...

This message brought to you by the committee to wrap up unfinished plots.

Thank you.

Heh...Necromancer can run Matrix cover if Coyote is still munched, I guess,
since he was kinda following this. Good luck!

Yeah, might as well count Durandal in. He has been kind of quiet, recovering
from broken body parts, but he can provide you with a drop courier and fire
support.

Geez... don't you just hate when your characters get the better of you, and do
things you don't expect? I do.

Anyway... what Coyote was trying to say (and failing so miserably) was that he
will be up and running for Genetek, even if he has to tie Widow up to do it...
they aren't gonna keep him from his deck forever... besides... he's too much
fun to keep down...

Until later! Bye bye now!

Could I have all of the people who want to be involved with the Genetek run
send a me a basic description of the character(s) involved, including their
names (obviously), primary gear and abilities? I am beginning work on the log
tonight, and would like to have some of that stuff available...

If you have not told me that you would like to be involved by Wednesday night,
you will not be included. I have half a dozen people on my mailing list, and
have room for a couple more. Please let me know ASAP and include the character
information I am asking for...

Also, if one of the people I sent a copy of the plot summary to could mail me
a copy back, I would appreciate it... I lost my own copy of it, and would like
to have it.

Thanks a lot.

On the Genetek thing...yeah, send another copy out, please.

And I'm in on the run, so I'll make a run down of my character...elven
sorcerer adept, initiate grade 2-3, major gear...not great. A couple of foci,
but mostly I've spent money on the terminal. Skills are mostly magical, but
he's REALLY good at that. Main spell is "Phasor", actually three spells of
various power levels. Oh, and a patented "Astral Perception" spell, so that I
can see astrally to some extent...even though I'm an adept.

Oh, and he's actually alright at his computer...

You Got It:
...shadowfire... (insists on the three dots and lower case) is a japanese male,
about 5'10", with long black hair pulled back into the traditional samurai's
topknot. He wears (on runs) a tattered leather armored jacket identifiable, if
one looks closely, as Renraku Red Samurai issue. It's actually his, from a
while ago, when he worked under Griffen Hitori (Gryphon)
Since then an operation went bad, his team was fragged and he was
caught in a major explosion. The doctors replaced his left arm with the
cyberarm he now wears, with a monowhip in the middle finger and a built-in
cyberdeck. This made him rather...upset, as he was just becoming astrally
active around that time in his life. He left, bearing a grudge, and Gryphon
(feeling guilty? no, probably not.) let him.
He carries a katana weapon focus, and is terribly abusive in melee
combat. His spells, understandably, are a little weak, as are his decking
skills. He knows enough to get by, however, and his better-than-average
equipment helps fill the gaps.
One more distinctive element: his spells (even healing) have a fire/
flame motif ("You're immolated by a circle of flame which flickers upon your
open wound, sealing it shut and leaving a warm red line.")
And did I mention he's working towards a law degree?

Ok Josh..
I think I've already given you the rundown on Vertical and Shades..but just in

case..Vert. is 6'8",black,elven..only cyber is a jack..always wears plain black
shades..(which are smartgoggles/hud type thing..don't feel like explaining)

usually wears expensive grey or black suits or even a tux...but with black or
silver trim. uses any weapon you feel like..he's happiest with heavy weapons bu
you're talking about 8+ in firearms and heavy weapons...he's also a heavy duty
mage.. carries a _lot_(like, Loads!) of focuses, talismans etc..has some heavy
increase attribute spells....basically a heavy hitter combat mage who likes the
sneaky approach.

Shades I know I've given you the rundown on already..he'll ride matrix..If
Coyote's up for It and can get to Redmond in time for the run then the two deck
-ers can run an arrangement similar to a hitcher jack..but with mainframe
resources at their disposal (and yes, I do have a mainframe..and a good reason
..It's amazing what you can pick up if you're playing long enough!)...

Not Trying to brag Josh..but remember shades is running on
a _very_ good deck with very, very good programs.. He's run most of the Seattle
systems before...Monica is about the only thing in the Matrix who scares him.

Vert will pack armor and carry a silenced smg...on his bike or in the westwind
he would usually carry his assault rifle with GL,and if he's in the car he'll
have a LMG on a gyro-mount...+GL of course

He always carries a pred for close work, also various focuses and an orichalcum
blade power focus.

Peace through superior firepower.

Colm

Ok, here's the rundown of what's gonna happen...

The runners are gona split into three teams, I think, maybe four- I haven't
decided exactly yet... One of them is gonna be the Racoon lodge- Blaze and his
buddies. They're gonna be fighting the shaman and Shadow, primarilly.

The other two/three groups are gonna be doing the physical stuff, trying to
destroy the lab and the data, and also keep the controlled guards from getting
to Blaze and the other shamans... Rox will be running drones that will escort
each group, and I'm gonna put a mage in each group as well, to cover any other
magical security they may encounter... Coyote and Shades will probably be
running Matrix overwatch, keeping the log through security cameras and
stuff...

Basically, its gonna be a chaotic mess of firefight, astral combat, and Matrix
running... big explosions, close shaves, a couple of broken bones... etc etc.
It's gonna be big guys... that's all I'm free to say at the moment.

Oh, BTW.... I've been having trouble delivering mail to a couple of people on
my mailing list... if you could contact me personally, at harrij4@***.edu,
we'll try and see what the problem is.

----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
<musumeci@***.LIS.UIUC.EDUUC.EDU> (unrecoverable error)
<shilberg@********.UNI.UI> (unrecoverable error)

Thanks a bunch chum-pals... I'll see you later!

First of all, the correct addresses for Steve (Necromancer) and G-P
(Durandal) are shilberg@********.uni.uiuc.edu and musumeci@***.lis.uiuc.edu.
Quick screw up there, nothing major...I'll forward a copy of this to both
of them (never mind, I forgot that this was on Plot-D).

And as for the teams, just remember that Solonus can NOT assense, ex-
cept by spell. Gotta be careful with that one...it'll make a difference.

Solonus is mostly good for a really major fire fighter, except with
magic...
