I'm just a posting MACHINE today. Yippee!

Just wanted to let y'all know, Corrina's offer is sort of a plot
device, I've got no intention of letting her team kill off Bottle
Boy. So if you've got some characters who need killing (not likely)
or you want to make up some names to get offed, go ahead and post
'em. Otherwise, I'll just make some more guys up myself (but I
thought I'd extend the offer).

BTW, this list is great fun :)

<<Donning musty old robes of sage advice>>

Beware straw men, for they make the audience yawn.

The average margin of day to day survival of a 'Runner is the skin of
his or her teeth. That's what makes reading their exploits exciting.
In other words, while you may have "got no intention of letting her team
kill off Bottle Boy" one hopes that you won't make that obvious in the
post.

If you think about it, it is very difficult to avoid becoming dead if
someone makes it a point to separate you from the land of the living.
If they fail, it is due to their being insufficiently prepared or
insufficiently dedicated to the task. That may be the case with
Corrina, or whomever she hires (especially if she is short on funds),
but if BBoy waltzes all over their corpses, you may be surpised to find
the reaction from the list will be underwelming.

Actually, the sense I got from it was that he was just warning people
before the had a chance to respond to the job offer that his plot involved
BBoy winning the particular encounter. Well done, IMO. It saves time
from getting responses from people who don't want to have their characters
fail and/or die trying.

That depends, but for the most part I agree. A good fight where the
opponents are woefully mismatched is sometimes good for a few laughs if
nothing else. You make some good points, but I think you may be getting
worried too soon .. let's wait until after he screws up so we can jump
him. :-)

*Doc' snorts...*

Let me assure you guys...if anyone on this list is
going to screw up a story, it's not going to be
Scottie-boy. If there's one thing he knows how to do,
it's tell a good story.

Formatting, on the other hand...

;)

Good eye, Mark. I think I would have gotten some angry letters if
everyone signed up their deadliest assassins and were told, "well
guys, they have to fail. Sorry." (Also wanted to open the door a
bit there, see if anyone else wanted to play in my yard.)

At the same time Mach, your input is certainly appreciated. I am
new at this medium, and am bound to bugger it up at some point. I've
got no problems with constructive criticism.

And frankly, I'm just glad people are paying attention :)
