Sorry everybody, I happily announced my resurgence on the net and then
vanished into obscurity again. I'm beginning to think that there is a
conspiracy existing in my locale to keep me off the net, and I believe that
Sascha and Paul are involved in this along with a variety of groups who are
ganging up against me in a feeble attempt to keep me off the net.

Well, actually, no, not entirely. Truth of the matter is that shortly after
sending the mail to this list it transpired that the nice friendly people
who own my property found me a bigger place in a nice area in the middle of
the island where they could keep me out of the reach of the general
populace. So, I'm busy attempting to move my entire existence from one
location to another. It seems that I have gathered vast amounts of "stuff"
over the years and is taking much longer than expected.

However, I am still around, and I'm watching you all....

I hope to resume posting shortly (within the next couple of weeks) and my
site should be back up and running again with the next week. Which means the
Newbies Guide will be back, and I will try to make a copy available to Mark
if he wants it so it can be stored on the Dumpshock servers as well, just in
case I disappear again. <g>

Take care, have fun. I'm gonna screw with the list and your e-mail software
fairly soon. :)

You know... I've done the same thing. Just when I thought I was going to
have time to get my character involved again, life got in the way. I owe
Paul J. a serious apology for letting the last couple of "runs" get lost in
the shuffle.

I work in a product group and my work life has been hectic to say the least.
Seems like all I do is work, go home to bed, and back to work again.

I'll be in "lurk" mode for the next month or so, then hopefully I can get
back into the swing of things.

Glad to know you're still alive Pete! =)

I personally hope to have the OLD logs up and on a server for access.

I have 11-92 through 5-94 currently uploaded from my home machine.

I'll make it a point of making them available soon.

Wow.

So, like, is this the start of the list, or is there still more before this?

Its the VERY beginning.

log9301 and log9302 are MONICA Wars I believe

log9302 is HUGE (255 kb of pure TEXT - compressed in zip)

We were rather prolific back then :)

In the spirit of competition, I've put up ALL of the logs from ALL of the
lists, since the beginning of time. Thanks for lighting a fire under me a
little, Dan. :-) Rob Hayden, when he dropped out of the scene ever so
long ago, graced me with his backups, and I've kept them ever since,
adding to them as I went along.

It's fun to look at when the file naming conventions changed to see when
the list moved either from one server to another, or to a new software
package. :-)

Just a thought, but has anyone ever thought of compiling some of the plot
lines into a book of short stories? I know we've had some pretty good ones
going over the 3 years I've been on the list...

Like I said, just a thought...

HMMM

I wonder if I could get some more competitive spirit going by editing some
of the logs. I left off at the November 1996 logs, which means I basically
have the
1997-2000 logs left to do.
