I figure Aztlan and possibily some other folks are up to their old tricks
with the wiretapping of regional Matrix exchanges, cell-phone branch offices,
and the like. Let's say that Azrael discovered the bug's existence during some
unrelated Matrix stuff and got in touch with a friend of his in "telephone
repair" in the area to confirm its location. =)
