Alright who has a contact who would tell their character some news
about the bombing in Seattle? I need some information on the bodies
conveyed to the list.

I can use Stewart Thao again. It's up to you. I'm going to put his
storyline on hold until things settle down --having too much fun w/ everyone
else's stories to start my own-- So he's just sitting there punching the
clock.

On that note. What kind of information would the Seattle Media be
releasing, Mike? Any and all info that is "public" knowledge if you can
post here or on the BBS as an NPC source who just read the paper or
whatever the hell would fill both of our needs.

Well, here's the scoop. 41 bodies, identified, (all have SINs and
were employees of JICES) have all be returned after being prepared for
burial. The company contacted the families and sent condolence
letters (in addition to the letters being sent out by the owner of
JICES).

LSS thinks that they may have held back some bodies, but if so, there
is no proof.

The bodies look like victims of a bomb.

The public play is that it was an act of terrorism against the company
for political motivation. (The owner is a dwarf.) So far, though no
one has truly owned up to the act.

The owner had no comment for news reporters. (Other than the
standard, "I'm truly sadden by the violation of the scantily of life.
It is sad that we cannot find a way to all get along. My deepest
sympathies go out to those families who have lost loved ones from this
terrible act. A lot of questions have to be asked about what
happened. Hopefully, the criminals will be brought to justice for
committing this atrocious crime.")

LSS public statements:

-- At time of the crime, "The building is being searched for
survivors. At this time there is no official body count. It is
suspected that all employees of JICES were lost."

-- Later that evening, "There are still no leads in today's bombings,
although rumor mill has it that it was a victim of extreme racism."

-- Then their will be announcing of the first of the bodies are being
buried from the tragedy sometime tomorrow.

Basically, it is the typical story of what happens during these
things. The media tears apart that pain of the victim's families and
such. Hell just use Oklahoma for inspiration when coming up with the
media.

Key points.... until LSS has the bodies, there is no official body
count (although it is suspected to be around 45). No real leads as to
what has happened. And public is not allowed near the bomb site other
than to look on from a distance.

Great, thanx for the public info-line, Mike. And now... a protocol
question.

An investor is interested in the "common knowledge...and more"
information that a stockbroker could provide about JICES. How would you
folks conduct such an event on this SR list?

Would she post on a shadow BBS? Hmmmm...didn't think so... so what's my
alternative to handle mundane transactions like this?

Obviously if a decker wants to do some decking she has to know where to
start... and to be as subtle as possible she first needs to follow the
obvious routes...but unlike standard gaming format where I'd just have
her jack in I find myself a little lost on how to handle things on the
list!
