Actually, I believe it's spelled "Qaballah". With a 'Q' not a 'K'.

Actually (g) it's Hebrew, so any spelling given is a just a
transliteration. 'Qaballah' 'Kaballa' and 'Cabala' (which is
Merriam-Webster's preference) are all acceptable usage.

Now all you need is a character deep into Karaism.. oh, the sparks fly.

Actually, it is from the Hebrew, which would look mighty funny coming out
of an ASCII set. Translating the word to roman letters can be done in
several acceptible ways. I will admit to a mistake, however.

According to Britanica Online (about as impartial as you can get):

Kabbala

also spelled KABALA, KABBALAH, CABALA, CABBALA, or CABBALAH
(Hebrew: "Tradition")

The first one is the one they use throughout the text. I have seen the Q
spellings as well in other sources. For the sake of neatness, I will try
to stick to Kabbala. Since it is comming from the Hebrew lettering, the
main importance is trying to get the romanization to sound as close to the
original as possible.

P.S. I postponed this to check the rest of my mail before sending
it...and saw Matb responding with about the same thing?
