I'm not sure it's in the rulebooks, but it was mentioned once in, I
think, Never trust and Elf, the novel. I'm not sure on the title, but
the main character goes into the Seattle Underground and connects with
the leader who is a goblinized troll. His wife is long dead(naturally
born troll) and his daughter is dying of old age too. He's about 50 or
something like that.

But it's quite possible that very few people know that, so Jen and Gabe's
response might not be unreasonable. You're call, of course.

And Evan, you really like fanning the flames, don't you? Damn, sometimes
it'd be nice to have a "villan" that I can use for stress relief
sometimes. Dante was created for that originally. Maybe.... Ahhhh,
that'll work....

*mutter* I've only read the Nigel Findleys... Damn those are good
books...

Uh. It depends. If it damages your character's credability, no.
Otherwise it depends on how other people take it...

Hehe. *grin* They weren't created for that purpose (they're supposed to
be connected with Righteous and Dana, except they screwed up... *mutter*
Stupid averice... =), but they've definitely turned towards it. I sort of
wonder if they'll ever be used in a run... =)

With a name like Dante? What else could he be used for? =)

Don't worry about nailing those 4s credibility. My entire reason for
introducing them in this manner in the first place is to make them real
for later plot developements. However, in the background I've come up
with for her, FC really is 43 and has done everything she said.
Hopefully they'll all evolve to something more than they are now. And
they really do have emense attitudes and almost as emense(sp?) dislike of
shadowrunners. Makes them easy to become villans if people don't like
them anyway.

Hey, Dante was originally created as a BS name that grew to become the
best villan I've had(I really like Drake too, but for very different
reasons). Dante let me blow off steam my first year here during finals
week and grew a LOT. Just like some of my favorite character concepts
died off of their own accord. Makes the list more interesting.

Killing large numbers of people with airborne gamma-anthrax? Building a
super-IC program that is just shy of being artificially intelligent?
Releasing the same into the Matrix upon his death and having it totally
frag with Boston? Nah.... (evil grin)

Hey, what's wrong with first ed.? I still use it (Albeit with some rather
major rules mods, ahem.) The bit regarding goblinized metas ageing at
normal human rates I got from the SR novel 'Never trust an Elf', that
although it has one of the most stupid titles you could possibly imagine
isn't a bad read at all. (Ewww. Bad, bad, BAD grammar there. Excusez moi!)

Anyway, in that book, Kam the ork goes to visit his grandaddy, who turns
out to be a hale and hearty ork in his late fifties. Kam's mom appears too,
but she's a senile toothless old granny. So some meat is made of the fact
that those who are born Orks (& Trolls, I suppose) age faster than those
who are born human but goblinize.

That is why Goku asked about FC's age, 'cos a normal 46 year old Troll wouldn't
be feelling exactly sprightly at that point. Kinda long in the tooth, like.
