Ok, here goes. Marlin is going to try to get Masque any way he can. If he
can't get him, then he'll kill him and try for Wizard. Again, if Wizard can't
be gotten, he'll kill him too. Ritual sorcery is tricky that way. How are
various people going to keep this from happening? Two of you(enthar@... and
mknabusch@...) have the rules that Masque was built by, so you can see the
magical stuff, but DNA links work really well, especially if the targets don't
know they have left the links and that the enemy has them. Start it up, folks.

Umm, I thought what was left of Masque was desolved in an
acid type bath. So ritual really wouldn't work on him.
That and he's extremely tech. so magic really doesn't work
well. I assume Phoenix Star Rising Corp has mages on duty
and wards on the building. So he's safe for a few months.

Phoenix Star Rising is a military research corporation, concentrating on new
technologies and magic (esp where the two can be combined). Thier security is
more than adequate, and should definitely protect Masque and Wizard from
anything up to and including a full scale assualt. Most magical tampering
will be detected very quickly, _especially_ on Masque, as he will be under
observation almost constantly while he is there.

Of course, this doesnt mean Masque and Wizard cant be attacked, if thats how
we want the plot to go, it just means whoever is doing the attacking needs to
come up with a good explanation of why it would work.

BTW the head of security for the research division of Phoenix Star Inc. is a
Dwarven mage that goes by the moniker Guardian of the Rock. initiate 6-8. good
enchanter too :) He will be the one responding to any attacks, just to let
everyone know so that they arnt suprised when he shows up and kicks butt ;)
