Ok, I just had a silly thought....

Imagine that MONICA is still around (she probably is).
Imagine she has a sidekick named Mayhem.

MAYHEM: What are we going to do tonight, MONICA?
MONICA: Same thing we do every night, try to take over the world.

---

(homage to Pinky and the brain, for you non-animaniacs fans)

(sorry, silly mood)

Ok, I probably missed something, but can someone fill me in on what I
shoudl do with MONICA (ideas ideas!). I need a plan for her to 'try to
take over the world'.

I figured I'd start with Wolf 359 dropping something about Leon Meyers
getting released from his incarceration with Omega. But then we need
about 2 weeks of sightings of 'something' prowling around C-Space, only
to have somoneone finally come face to face with her, and, as Elton John
might say, the bitch is back.

Comments? Flames?

Here's a suggestion... I would like to have Coyote have the first encounter
with her... it would reallyshake him up because he's really arrogant about his
abilities (as if you couldn't tell already). Meeting her, and perhaps escaping
just by the skin of his teeth... I was thinking that she might try to control
him like she did with Splut... but he JUST gets away and it really shakes him
up.

Comments? I don't have ideas on how she could take over the world, though...

Instead of Coyote saving himself, have Ramirez come in and save his ass
(and make the correct MONICA identification). Coyote is a cocky SOB that
needs to learn teamwork and his own limitations. Ramirez is an old-timer
that knows the value of expirience in addition to raw skill.

As for MONICA controlling people like happened with Splut, I don't want
to do that any more. Splut was appropriated for the specific purpose so
that MONICA would be able to learn how a rogue decker thinks and
behaves. She has no reason to do it any more (Splut was a calibre of
decker on par with Ramirez; actually, Dark Elf, Ramirez and Splut were
sorta the decking trio a year ago).

Busting the world bank? Computer Generated smear campaing on public
officials? Detonate a nuclear bomb and let the contries of the world
argue about who did it? 9just thoughts)

Well Rob... I was thinking of not having Coyote rescue himself, but rather have
Chanco or somebody pull his jack at the last minute... but this Ramirez thing
is a good idea... it would really cheese Coyote off that Ramirez (who he views
as an old, cautions fool) was the one that saves him... as long as ramirez
doesn't expect any kind of thanks for what he's done...

The mind control thing is optional (hell... I've got enough of that going on
with Widow right now). It was just an idea... Oh well... back to jotting down
notes on my current thread..

As long as Coyote suddenly realizes that he isn't immortal and that he
can get his ass thoughourly trounced, it would work neat for a character
development.

As a side note, Phoenix Star does alot of AI and computer research...
(can you tell I want them to be in a lot of plots? ;)

Maybe MONICA can hide out in there, (by digging up some black mail on a
decker, or researcher) untill shes strong enough. (and perhaps a few
employees of Phoenix Star Inc. can get introduced at the same time :)

Just thoughts. (were else to find your ultimate world busting weapon than in
the bowels of a military research installation! :)

Perhaps MONICA can be a way to periodically come in and clear out
unneeded characters. Sorta like natural selection in the matrix or
something.

If you've got someone you wanna whack, go for it. We just have to come
up with a good plan for her to take over the works.

On a side note: I wrote up the entry I'll make for the rescue of Coyote
from MONICA this afternoon (I had some time). It's about 16k big and I
_KNOW_ you will all like it. Full of lots of action and gory details. :-)

NICE WRITE-UP ROB.
It was very colorful - although a tad confusing, I really didn't
understand what the hitching of 369 to R was about, though I think that the
R_1 + R_2 thing was multitasking, am I right?

359 was riding shotgun via a hitcher jack
And yes, the R_1 + R_2 was multitasking. The big gun was also running on
its own CPU (why? Why not).

As for confusing? It's sorta supposed to be :-)

I noticed that MONICA was dumping info from corporations and individuals. Is
any of this really juicy. IE would a corp involved in some really secret
research get really upset? Im thinking yes.

Phoenix Star has a subsiery called Netwatchers that keeps tabs on the
happenings on the net. They will know about MONICA after the posting from
Rameriz, and will be suitably concerned. I guess what I want to know is how
people want to deal with MONICA. Ive heard various people say shes limited to
the seattle LTG for right now. Should I bother with having Phoenix Star get
upset with her? Possibly organize some corporate resources to help deal with
her? or should i just sit and wait...:)

Let me know...

Christina Johnson (DOA) had to sign back off again because it appears her
account is dying. She may or may not be back.

I'm going to have MONICA lay low for a little while while her and Meyers
work on their master plan (also gives me time to work on real world stuff).

I like the idea of naming it Clu out of homage to Tron (I never really thought
before how much Tron resembles cyberpunk style computer systems...and from a
Disney movie at that). If not Clu, then maybe the name of some of the other
programs and such from the movie.
