Subject: My Chicago plot...

This is probably going to be VERY important for the game here. And it
needs to be understood for any adventures in Chicago from now on. Yes, spoilers
for "Burning Bright" and probably Bug City are here, but they're important ones.

Chicago is infested. Period.

Approximately August 20, 2055, there was a raid on the main surviving
Universal Brotherhood enclave. During the attack, the insect spirits escaped
from the place in large quantities...and took over a VERY large portion of
Chicago.

There are now wandering spirits in Chicago. Lots of them. The place
is VERY dangerous. It is completely infested. Chicago has been quarantined
by the UCAS government. There are wandering mobs of people looking for food
and such.

Beyond that, a nuke just went off too. That was on about the 24th.
A small, 1 kiloton nuke went off, taking out several of the queens. Luckily,
the thing went off in a magical Ward, so the radiation was contained, but the
idea is that it's fragging desparate.

That's why my run's going to be serious. It's because it's going into
the infested regions of Chicago to attempt to rescue a helpless mage. And I
DO mean helpless...astral perception is VERY dangerous when there are hundreds
of insect spirits around...

Be warned.

Just a comment --

We have a group of runners that want to go and do their best to screw
the UB up in a big way. Can we go ahead and run that, fuck it up, then walk
into the "infested chicago" scenario"? I know we would be screwing up
the time line just a bit (can we NOT go that much against fasa? its just a
couple of months).

I HATE BUGS! Sigh. Looks like its time to move to chicago.

To the Runner of the Whistler:

(He might not even read this) Did you get my mail message about
wanting your formula for your spirit smooshing spell?

Only problem is that the UB has been officially shut down for the last
approximately 3 years. In the UCAS, that is. Unofficially, of course...
