Again, Rob, hear me out here. I cut the Nanite stuff way back, based largely
on yours and other's input off this list that it was just a little too nasty.
So I cut it back to just cyberware. Now, in this arena I think this could
work, and we just may be able to combine our two plots somewhat, although not
really nastily...yet.

Wizard currently needs a lot of Nanites that are designed to produce cyberware.
>From his long history of this stuff, he knows that Yoshida Tech has what he
needs, and he has some friends that can do the necessary modifications to them
to suit them to his needs. So he either buys them or hires runners to steal
them. In the process, somebody leaks data to the list that there seems to be
something really unusual in the nanite's "programming," specifically the
fantastic detail that they can create thier cyber with and the fact that they
generate the lower essence cost cyber for use in other stuff. Wizard gets the
nanites he needs and you get a leak to Big Bad Corp.

As Big Bad Corp is naturally cautious and doesn't want to waste precious nuyen
on chasing a myth, they catch wind of Norm's press interview and decide that
nailing Yoshida is in thier advantage. It goes on from there.

Other possible connections: Wizard has a slightly modified version of the
very nanites that are used by Yoshida, so Big Bad Corp could come after him
too, wanting the cyberware. They may even suspect that his operation is a
"secret" lab for Yoshida, which it isn't, where they perform some of thier
more advanced, human tests and performance reviews under real world conditions.
Big Bad Corp could decide that they wanted not only the cyber, but the people
who have used it or are kept alive by it, thus including Wizard and Masque,
who will shortly become "one with the cyber". There are all kinds of
possiblities here.

Ok, Rob, is it toned down enough to connect them a little?

Now, as that was meant for Rob specifically and everyone in general, I have a
question. Does anybody else who hasn't told me already think this might work
or am I just experiencing a pipe dream here. To me it sounds pretty workable.

And Christina, J Roberson told me that DOA had some unusual cyber. Maybe we
can fit her into this too, if you're interested.

Brian
