Well, the name is rather common, (Marvel Mutant, bad guy from Joan D.
Vinge's _Psion_ [he was a rather nasty terrorist with paranormal powers],
etc.) but no, I would like to hang on to it for the time being. She was
last used in the Masquerade story line that ran several months back (I can
send you a copy if you so wish). I would like to use the character again
since I went through a lot of trouble dreaming her up and have grown
rather attached, however, there's this slight problem that she has gotten
herself hooked up with a rather secretive assassin (Mark N.'s Sybarite)
and it would not be easy or practical for her to just up and leave. I
have been meaning to find a way to use her again on the list, but nothing
has come up--as of yet--that seemed appropriate. Although I am looking.
The monicker Quicksilver is rather appropriate for her deftness in
changing not only her outward appearance, but personality as well (hence
mercurial; mercury = quicksilver, but FASA already took Mercurial), is a
hermaphrodite (connection hermaphrodite comes from Hermes+Aphrodite and
Hermes = Mercury), plus was subconsciously inspired by a pair of
characters in _Psion_'s sequel _Catspaw_ one of which was named Argentyne
(argent is French for silver). I am sure you can think of a different,
yet wholy appropriate name for your villain.
