On Saturday morning 2 AM Tokyo time (*shrug* it seems like a good
time), a single wetworker invades a Yakuza home and murders a Ninja
sensai and his three top students. In addition, two normal guards were
killed upon the initial break-in. [Actually, it was his two top
students and a joytoy/bodyguard, but people in the know aren't about to
reveal that detail.]

Since the killings weren't sanctioned by the Yakuza, they will be on a
tear to find out the murderer. My question is, are their any
characters already established that would comment to the list in
general on that sort of happening, or do I need to invent another minor
character to report on those happenings?

Later,
Mike

Sure Mike... Haze, being in tight once with the Yaks, would drop in a line
or two..just "private-e-mail" me (see mom? New word! :) ) with the details.

As for everyone else I left high-and-dry, I was busy with
VACATIONS(mwahahaha), but I'm sifting through my mail, and I'll start
posting relevant stuff too (Pete, Sasha, don't kill me just yet :) ).

Yo...I think I can safely speak for my own characters thank you.

Actually, NewzJunkie (tm) doesn't follow the international trid-nets as
much as he does the national and local (Seattle) ones. This kind of news
is not exactly the kind of thing that would come under his nose easily.
If you asked him about it, he might be able to run through some of his
friends on that side of the Pacific and hear something about it (like some
Yak family had some of its top shinobi fragged and are _seriously_ pissed
about it), but really, you would probably need someone closer to the
Japanese Yak scene to hear about it. Unfortunately, the only character I
have with much experience in Japan never came close to dealing with any
Yakuza.
