Send me mail telling me what types of spiffy things you want your
shadowtk poster thingie to do.

Things already suggested and implemented:

Corp Postings
Correct time / Date Stamp
Default posting types (public, private, not to)
Default Character Name (Kor, Tunnel Rat, Blitzkreig)
Use User's default editor (vi, emacs, ed, tpu)

The original code was pretty simple and easy, right now I am just
spiffing it up so I am not embarassed to give it to someone else to use.

I have read the FAQ over and over again and have been picking out things
here and there to add to the code. I just now realized that
the Subject isnt added to the edited version of the week's mail. I
and added a subject line to the TOP of the regular posting (assuming
everyone doesnt complain too loudly).

If you can send me direct mail I will see what I can do about your
wishes.

-----
Im currently dealing with PERL and CSH (maybe SH too, but I am not sure).
What else needs to be supported? I know DCL relatively well. I also
other bits of things that people might be using to post with.

Dont worry about one line mail messaes to me. Ill read and respond to
anything concerning the posting thingies.

Everything supported in the ShadowTK rules. Everything. With a simple,
easy to use format.

Maybe even write our own mail editor to support it.

writing our own editor to deal with this might be a little more of a hassle
than we want to bite off. Ya see, we have people using ALL KINDS of machines
with all kinds of icky strangeness that I really dont wanna have to get into
or support. VMS editors and Unix editors are vastly different. Then add in
the flavors of Unix and you have a serious mess.

The way I wrote the perl stuff is to have it use the default editor for
the user. Hopefully this is the editor they want to use (having set it
in the environment) and are comfortable with said environment. When I do the
DCL one (assuming I can find myself a VMS machine to do the work on) it will
use the VMS editor stuff.

I have all the formating stuff already supported. I cleanedup the perl code
so that it is at least presentable. Adding more bells and whistles now. :wq
