Very nice...

Can we expect this character to get involved more often in these budding
flame wars? Have we finally found our own "CaptChaos", a Shadowland
monitor?

I think this would not only end some meaningless threads, but add a little
flavor to the board...

Salutations

I agree, although I see some problems arising here... as Mark doesn't
intercept our mail to the listserv, it would be kind of "public
character" - else poor Fang would be the only one always to be
interrupted :-)

Mark, will you send messages like "SysOpus will interfere n's next
(long) message" to ... longwinded... errrm... people?Any plans at all
for this char?

Sascha

Huh? Um...Fang's my character, and in general wouldn't be posting
something SysOpus would object to. You're probably thinking of someone
else.

Dunno how old he is, but I've seen SysOpus or someone like him before that
the Dred Executors of the list use to remind people to be vaguely civil
around here. It is usually posted after the fact, but it tends to keep
the flame-wars to a minimum. Unless of course, it is people flaming
Jen&Gabe the asbestos duo.

Glad you liked it. I've used SysOpus a few times in the past, but I've
been
reluctant because I didn't want it to degenerate into censorship.

Sometimes. I don't want to overuse him and censor the board.

I think he mean't Flux here, to help the confusion.

That's a good idea. I'll give it a whirl next time we get a situation
that calls
for it on the list. This is the first time that I've gotten any response
to the
SysOpus character, either good or bad.
