Drekk - I missed the three again.

No - me and Stefan are not fooling around - We're trying to figure out
a weird reply thing. My replies to his message when he posts go him, not back
the list like they should.

They also do this with Fripp - I just haven't ever replied to his messages in
way.

The reply problem is in the mailer of the first individual... Stefan,
I think.

The mailer sends a REPLY-TO header code with his address in it, and
LISTSERV doesn't insert the mailing list header if one's already
there.

For me, the Plot-D REPLY-TO gets screwed up because the header
contains a CR. With the CR in the middle, I reply to "SHADOWTK Plot
and Administrative Discussions" with no further address, and they go
boinking off into the void.

Heh. And Our Fearless Leader's posts always end up in the wrong
mailbox, because he's got a whole slew of... unique... headers at the
top of his messages, including his geek code, among other things.

It used to be the same way with Geoff(phinar@**.cencom.net) somehow he
changed it...ask him how. Replies to TK messages from Stefan and Jim are the
same for everybody. Dan, you are not having a problem...it is something in
the message setup.

Most likely. I'm pretty sure that's my problem, anyway. Whenever my
stuff started actin' funny it was because they had been messin' with
out accounts for a week or so and the REPLY-TO address wasn't working
at all. I think I just used to big of a hammer to fix it....

Were people sending stuff to your mailer daemon, and not getting it to
you at all? That's the problem I get without attaching a REPLY-TO on
my messages. They get the real name, then the
MailerDaemon@**.cencom.net when they reply, or else an
@@**.cencom.net; any way I look at it, I lose... :)

Looks like the list is playing silly buggers again. Seems ironic that only
a couple of days back everyone was complaining about no-one posting, now I
want to post something and am having trouble with it. Oh well, waddya gonna
do.

This is a test message to see if I fixed my mailer problems. If there =
are difficulties or attachements with it, please tell me. A note if it =
works would be ok, too. I did check this by using elm already, and =
didn't find any problems.

Thanks.

Everything came across in one big line. (Rather minor, but some mailers
don't wrap right when they read the file...)

Funny, it looked fine to me. Hmm, maybe I've just got a smarter mailer
than the average mailer. <grin>

Prolly even smarter than you, eh old man? I'll have to give you your cane
back when I'm over on that side of the pond in May/June.

I didn't say it didn't show correctly on *my* mailerThe only reason I knew
that the text didn't wrap from Mike's end was when I hit reply, I got one
'>' and five lines of text.

Yeah, that'd me really neat, it's a damned nuisance not having that
thing to prop me up when I go out. :)

Looked fine to me. Several lines, no prob. What can I say. I use a
British mail client - at least we know how to program properly. <grin>
