The below post is from: George Metz <W0lfstar@***.COM>. My question
is: What is the character's name who supposedly posted this?

OOC = "Out Of Character"
BIC = "Back In Character"

Rook, if you're reading this you should have made that comment in plotd or
by private email; putting it in a shadowtk post just makes more work for
the log editor.

Shadowland format from the Shadowland site. It means, respectively

OOC - out of character
BIC - back in character

Obviously someone is used to the Shadowland web site. :)

Yuppers, sorry 'bout that. Thought didn't even occur to me until after I hit
the Send button, and A0L won't let you retrieve I-net mail once it's sent.

Actually, that's standard online storyboard/RPG format. Makes life easier if
you've only got one place to post to. I unfortunately have next to no access
on Shadowland due to lack of Java - I'm a 16-bit type.

That's nothing to do with AOL.
I don't think it's possible to retrieve e-mail after it's been sent
anyway....

Some servers put it in a queue for a few minutes before it sends out,
sometimes you can snatch it back, depending on the server. And AOL's internal
mail allows you to "unsend" mail.

Right... like a resume I guess. Or a CV. I'm not sure what the appropriate
term is given the difference in colloquial language across countries.
