Subject: The Trap (coming soon to a theatre near you)

I will be writing up the story for the trap tonight and will type it in
tomorrow. If your character can not be there let me know by tomorrow
morning please. The list I have so far is this: BladeMaster, Forte,
Johnny Cash, Lyting, Crush, Shade, Obtulio Varela, Mr. S, Kromofton,
M'noc.

I know what most of you are but not everyone. So give me an idea of
what these people would do. The ambush will occur outside of the
Banshee in the Redmond Barrens at 9pm. Warloc, Blade, and Crush will be
the bait for the ambush. The rest of you will be around the area to
jump whoever jumps us. It has been pointed out that at least some
people will be using Ares Squirts if you will be using anything other
then an SMG or pistol please let me know so I keep it close to what
your character would be using. If anyone wants their character to die
let me know otherwise I'll assume we all live (or at least mostly
alive).

Anything else I would except help from those who have done this more
then me. I will be here till 6pm pacific time and in at 8am pacific
time Thurssday.

Shade will be using an Ares Squirt with MAO, etc. He will have a
Storm Spirit use stunning attacks against our good friend. Not to mention a
City Spirit that will COnfuse, and make him stick to the ground, etc.

Blademaster LOVES BLADES. He uses them well enough that he can knock
someone out from combined cuts, but not kill them. He has healing and
treat, and will not hesitate to use them if needs be. If anyone withough
cyberware wants an attribute upped(inc. reac and reflexes too) let him
know, he can do it. Cyberweare is smartlink, hearing amp, datajack and
damper. Weapons are bvlades of any type, if it gets hairy, manaball and
manabolt. Will have at least one barrier(spell lock, rating 8, effective
23 body(armor with magic pool spell lock and body inc. +4) and 12+4d6 init.)
Spells mentioned here are either spell locked and WILL be on( I.E. any
mage in astral can try, but rating 8 manabarrier there too.) coverws most
bases, and Should be semi-retired, but can not stand SoG, if he shows,
Blademaster will grab and flee with the SOB and anynoe tryibng to follow
will see him disappear(imp invis) after a few rounds. If guns are
required, uses rifles and shotguns best.

A _trifle_ difficult to manage...

The barrier doesn't increase body, it acts as a Barrier. Meaning you figure
out if an attack penetrates and reduce the Power by the Barrier's effective
rating if it does. For normal bullets of high enough power (greater than
the Barrier's rating) this means you subtract the base Barrier rating. =)

I've actually unwound the horribly-worded barrier section of the rules, and
I can furnish people a concise summary if anyone is interested. =)

Hm. A tad obtrusive on the Astral front, eh? 'Ware the Elemental that strikes
at midnight. =) Of course, I'd still worry about the folks with the
Smartlinked SMG's and the like: physical barriers are really easy to destroy
for anyone with sensibly-applied firepower...

Body? Sounds like Armor, not a Barrier, Mark.
