Subject: umm...discount on HMHVV?

So, I don't want to ruffle feathers, stifle creativity, or increase the
national deficit, but am I seeing yet more runners becoming infected with
HMHVV? I mean, I know the concept of vampirism has its appeal and all, but
I thought we were storytelling about Shadowrun and not Vampire: The
Masquerade or something similar. Is it just me or is anyone else a little
concerned about this proliferation?

Um, as far as I know, Mac is new, AJ has been around a couple of years
and has some distinct disadvantages , and Markspansah is....different.
It's not my place to say any more.

If you think this is bad, you should have been around a while ago when
there were something like 6 vamps on at once. all of them were killed
off except AJ, and I accepted some severe limitations on him regardless.
Lucky for me most of the disadvantages were ideas I had originally in the
character concept.

For example, AJ doesn't regenerate anywhere near as fast as a normal
vamp, and if he goes mist too fast, all his cyber falls out. there's
more, but that's a flavor.

Check the logs from 1993, specifically the fall of that year...I had 3
vampires running at that time: Katana, Mac, and Rietz. Mac is the only one
left of that group, he killed both Rietz and Katana.

Ah hah! :) No, don't worry, that's not another Vampire runner, but I did
frame it in a way that seemed to imply that, didn't I? :)
