I thought Natch was like "nothing" or "nada".

Where is is used so I can get a better angle on it.

If anyone cares, and I am sure you all done -- My paintball gun
is back out of the shop and should be back in my hands by tomorrow
morning. Its going to take all of my will power not to pull my air canister
out of the freezer and bring it in to work with me so I can at least pump
air through it. I havent shot it in over a year and im itching bad!

Something like "I met their leader, an elf, natch," or "no chickens in
there, natch". Could be taken to mean "not surprisingly," but then there
are sometimes other uses that don't fit that interpretation.

"Natch" as I have understood it in the Eastern U.S. is a shortened
colloquialism for "Naturally". the "tur" sound in this coast's accent

can sound like "tcher" sometimes.

I think I was exposed to this in a marvel comic some years ago.

I'm pretty sure "natch" is short for "naturally".

I understood it as a contraction of "naturally".

Weird. I've never heard it used in that sense. My only encounters with
the wordlet has been in the "nada" sense.

Hermmmm...just to throw a monkey wrench into this whole mess

natch adv [by shortening & alter. fr. naturally] (ca. 1945) slang: of
course: naturally
--Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary

However, I have usually seen it used with a negative connotation or as
sarcasm. More or less like a "Damn, it had to be that way, naturally."
e.g. There's 500 sentry guns between us and the door out. Natch....
