I am really happy about how this run is going. Basilisk, Aardvark,
everyone has been doing a great job of keeping in character and keeping the
story going. Here's an update for those who are interested on what is
happening.
1) The toxin that killed the orks or forced them to move is a Prion
which is sort of a "directed protein" that attacks certain systems. Basilisk
understands this better than I and can fill anyone in. Tiny has been cured,
for all intents and purposes. In fact, he may have helped us find a vaccine.
2) The surviving orks scrambled off Whidbey Island to the penninsula
where, they have apparently been taken captive by Renraku, or Earth First (a
policlub). The reason currently is unknown.
3) Aardvark shot seven guards at the compound on the penninsula, so
they know they are being watched. He also noticed a Renraku symbol "peeling"
from a car. There was some other mark underneath. At this time, we do not
know what it is.
4) Backlash should be happy to hear that there are children on the
Penninsula. Possibly leaning toward Katherine being alive.
5) We now have a full list of names thanks to some contact work done
by Backlash, and a few other orks.
6) Shields is preparing to do a quick run on Renraku. He is looking
for some help. If anyone (Dark Angel, etc.) wants to help, get in touch.
Now, for where this is leading. As we gain more information about
Earth First and Renraku's involvement, we can make plans for the extraction of
the orks from the penninsula. One warning is that the penninsula falls in the
Shidhe country. I haven't decided whether this will be a problem or not.
(Anyone have any comments? I'm opening this for discussion, that's why this is
public to Plot-D)
I see this run coming to a good closing point for the holiday season.
We will probably gather info on Renraku and Earth First, put together a plan,
and invade the fort after the new year. (When the next phase of my storyline
comes into play....snicker.)
This storyline will continue to evolve for a while yet. Thanks for
everyone's involvement.
