Subject: Attitude of ShadowTK

I have been back for only a few weeks, and I noticed something about the
attitude of ShadowTK and even this list, even when I first returned. I sent
out an angry post stating what I saw, and now I will reiterate with a more
civil tongue. What I noticed is that both here and ShadowTK has become
extremely serious and tight. There have been some funny posts, but they have
been few and far between. The serious posts, Spring and Fall of '93, had
some humor within them; but now have NO humor. I believe this to be due to
the lack of one person and one character. The Person is Rin Parks and the
Character (as some of you have guessed) is THE Nexus. I know I cannot do him
justice, heck, I cannot even post the way he speaks. THE Nexus(Nex) always
made even the most serious "run" have either some dark humor, or even some
light humor, within it. Nobody has offered to help out with anything (with
the exception of Brian Angliss) I have wanted to run, as a matter of fact,
everyone has become so obssed with the rules that nobody wants me to run a
storyline that is concievable; because it would break some of the concepts of
the novellas(which are not law, but are things based on actual games or game
ideas). It could possibly conflict with future FASA products. I know that
many of you last Spring had complained about Rin's loss of access, because
THE Nexus was not being run. I believe we need to loosen up just a bit and
relax and not take this as real life, but as a reflection of our own
personalities. WE are the ones who make these lists and game work, not the
rules. Rules mean nothing without players and we must all be able to allow
some rules to be bent and some to be broken, not for the sake of powerful
characters; but for the sake of having FUN. I was going to have some fun
with my characters in Chicago, but everyone jumped on me because everyone was
following Burning Bright as law about Chicago, not as a guide. That is
another thing about the novellas, they are guides to the Shadowrun universe,
not the laws of that universe. I am not flaming, just observing.

PS Does anyone know the addresses of the following:
Will Szabo
Stefan Hahn(sp?)
Vinnie aka Dark Elf
Rin would like to get in touch with them.

PPS She advised me to try not to piss anyone off, And I tried. How
successful I have been I do not know.
