That Stampede and Susi stuff), I give you some backgroud info:
When this Hewbanger( the bad guy) was in charge with the com-system
he installed an expert system, which checked every intern or extern
data transfer for valuable data. Since it is an integral part of
the system, it is nearly impossible to detect.With the gathered
data he unrevealedsome conspiracies, blackmailed some execs,
and got so in charge of the security. When he got this job,
he got his own computer sub-system. In this he installed a even
larger system, added the best codebreaker, and now he knows just
about everything, what is going on in the Arcology.
And now to sweet-heart Susi. She is 17 jears old and has a slight
gene-defect, which results in a deterioration of her motoric-nerves.
This defect will kill her in about six month, if not aided by a
extensive gene-therapie. That's why she can't walk. She herself does not
know that, but Dr Snooze is aware of that, because he read her
personal file. When he does not annouce it now, it's only because
it would only mess up things. OK, now to the stoy part:
First of all, MaSec is a firm, which checks out matrix security by
stealing previously named files. Susie is a nosie little girl, so
after stealing the proper files she explore the matrix, and got into
Hewbankers sub-system. There she found the expert-system, and tried to
figure out what it is for. But suddenly ICE popped up and attacked her,
so shejacked out and nearly forgot about it. Unfortunately her icon was
recorded by the ICE, and because Atztech had a full list of all MaSec
Icons, Hewbaker knew who she was. And in a (cyber-)discussion from
Susi with te Atztech deckers how to tighten security, Susi asked the
deckers what's that expert-system for. Noone knew, but one decker worked for
Hewbaker, and reported that immediately, and that's why he wants to kick
Susi out of buissines. After that discussion a lot of deckers asked Hewbaker
a lot of uncool questions, and he nearly got lots of problems, but he
finally lied his way out. To take out Susi without any connection to
himself he sent a Swapper to her, convincing her to change firm, sent
an extraction team (Stampede and co.) and ambushed it.
In my storyline more and more clues, about what Hewbakers up to should
(by me, you or anyone), and as a showdown the gathered info is played
in the hands of oneof the biggest enemies of Hewbaker, and then...
I don't think Hewbaker is happy.
By the way the cooperation between Lonstar and Atztech goes so far,
that Hew. has blackmailed a higher Officer to track down Stampede
and Susi.
Oh, and Sato helps where he can and when he's payed
For exaple by giving the exact time and date of the extr.
to Hew. and by giving the exact structure of Stams fas ID
to Lonestar, so that they knew instantly that this is Stamp.
by checking the SIN.
The rest of the story is relatively improvised, feel free to
interact or bring some info on-line.
