its a miss nomer really. Like you mention later Toxic Earth Spirits are nature
spirits of some sort

true - we have had toxic villians - though it has been a long time.
but never a hero go toxic.
Though I have often wondered if Claw was headed in that direction - he's close,
but he doesn't have a hatred of humanity or lack of compassion. He's just a
vigilante.

yes - but he wouldn't get the magical benifits. For some reason on Shamans gain
more power through toxic magic, I believe it has to do with the emotional
content and the striking back against humanity which in its own way is a
corruption of nature which nature helps in.
