I'm specifically talking about the new novel (Eternal Worlds?), and
just the general change of stance from corporate fun and excitement to
a more "fantasy" style world. These Fourth Worlders seem to be too
"special", they have too much going for them, Shadowrun is (fairly)
cyberpunk: Nothing is invincable, nothing is too small or great,
nothing is as it seems, and if something matters, nobody knows about it. It
would be nice if in the next novel some Fourth World coven of elves
got wiped out in friendly fire from some corp assault team... *grrr*

And whats this crap about elves taking over/protecting the world?
SRun isn't some cobbled together WhiteWolf (sorry any WW fans out
there, I can't stand their stuff -- Vampire is anal and they ruined
Mage: their only possibly INTERESTING project) trash, its well thought
out and REALISTIC. They took a set of events that changed the world,
and then created a society out of it. The society bears all the scars
and advantages of this change. If the elves start to come in as some
"mystical force" it could SERIOUSLY detract from the game...

Sorry about the rant... =)
