No problems with Decker Mages. There's nothing against them in the
rules. However, spells shouldn't work in the Matrix, just pure
programming skill. If he/she loses a certain amount of essence due
to cyberwear (i.e datajacks, etc.) then the Geas rules from the
Grimoire should apply. There are all sorts of ways I could see
having a decker mage.

Just because I'm a programmer myself, doesn't mean that I don't have
other skills. I'm also almost a semi-professional chef. I've taken
the cooking courses for it. So, why couldn't a mage learn to use a
cyberdeck?
