I suppose that alot of this "Mages can't deck" philosophy does come
some from those of us who have read the novels and seen "problems"
mentioned in them.

I personally think that my "negative" feelings about it ( Which I've
tried to hide ) come from my old D&D days.

"Mages can't use metal...i.e. Armor, Swords, etc." For some reason,
the thought of a Mage with cyberwear at all just kind of turns my
stomach because TSR said it was wrong for so many years.

I guess that shows my age. I used to be a TSR zombie.
