just speaking for myself, when I made a rigger I didn't have much essence
left over. Rigging cyber ware cost mucho. add on top of that decking gear and
probably some kind of wired reflexes for ground work(that was implide by the
last line)you wouldn't have too much magic rating left, unless they were high
initiates.
my opinion:possible-but unlikely
besides, you know what they say about jacks of the trade.
