with corporate and government databases, tweaking information.
Specifically, even pretty detailed checks into the area around the spill
will show that Maxim owned a facility there up until about a month ago,
when SI "purchased" it. This will be bourn out, for the time being, by
checks into the shell corps that purchased the area(SI owned), as well as
the deeds to the land in A-M Nation, and even both Maxim and SI
databases. Now, a really in-depth check will turn up enough problems
that this will be called into question, but it should fool people for a
day or so. And when the blinding stops(by morning), the facility will
appear to be SI owned. Everyone is wearing SI uniforms, driving vehicles
with SI logos, etc.
The idea isn't to hide forever, since the job of altering information was
too huge to do in a short time, but to confuse people enough to slow them
down some. Maybe it'll confuse SI a little to, but that's up to Evan,
not me.
Although having real SI people coming too close to the facility would
pose a few problems....
