not letting anyone else play in Aztlan and costing the rest of the Big 8
major headaches. And the idea was to say "Hey, we just hurt your private
army, and we could have done a LOT more to it if we'd wanted to, so take
a wild guess what we could do to the rest of your company if you don't
sit down, shut up, and give us some of what we want."
The most likely sequence of events I envision at this moment is the Big 8
trying to get Maxim to see the light and use their combined stature to
get Maxim to stop nuke production and consolidate them. Maxim would
not be overly impressed, and shortly thereafter the corps, having figured
Maxim wouldn't be overly impressed, takes out an important facility
somewhere. Maxim gets the message after a little bit of posturing,
consolidates the nukes, and sits back. Then the facility, either with
corporate help or not, that the nukes are at gets destroyed, preferably
without accidently losing a nuke or having one detonate.
Now, to come up with a reasonably difficult target that is important
enough to Maxim yet won't send Velli irrational and genocidal....
