While I like it, I think that this slight alteration might be a little
more interesting: One of the Big 8 discovers it, again afraid that Velli
might go genocidal, but instead of hiring runners(or in addition to, if
that feels better), they tell Sheppard-Intrepid, who Maxim already has a
grudge match going with. That one Big 8 corp(Saeder-Krupp sounds really
nice, personally, since there's a possibility that some of the board
members or important persons own stock in Maxim Arms and wouldn't want
thier investement to go to waste, or MCT for similar reasons) knows that
if Velli does go ballistic, they'll do it at SI and not the rest of the
world and the Big 8 would be free of 2 up and coming corps. SI would
also realize this and hire runners and people who have grudges against
Velli/Maxim to do the runs so as to distance themselves from it in case
Velli goes ballistic. That way she'd not try and wipe SI OR the Big 8
off the map, only some disposable runners.

Needless to say, this idea is getting larger and larger all the time.
Hopefully it'll encompass most of the list when it finally gets going
full speed ahead.
